Rumble in the Pub

As part of our 20th Anniversary celebration, we’re bringing back one of our favorite Geek traditions. (No, it’s not another Geek Bowl. (Yet…?)) We’ve pitted you against other local quizzers with this year’s Geek Elite quizzes in Denver and Austin, but now it’s time to make the competition a little bigger.

Rumble in the Pub is an 8-week regional league battle running from October 18 through December 12, 2026. This time, we’re bringing the fun to some of our other major markets that have played a key part in Geeks’ history: Boston, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Portland, Rochester, and Albuquerque. We’re giving out thousands in cash prizes and custom hardware, and there are three different ways to win:

• The Main Event: Your overall quiz score each week—including your Joker—builds your overall league standing. Play as many times as you want in a week (Sunday–Saturday); we’ll automatically count your single highest full-game score for each week toward your 8-week cumulative total. At the end of the 8 weeks, the team with the highest cumulative score nationally, and the top three teams in each region, will take home cash and prizes.
• The Round 2 Experts: Are you musical masterminds? Do you nail Round 2 every week only to faceplant on Random Knowledge? Well, you can still win some serious swag: We’ll track your single highest Round 2 score each week, not counting Jokers. The team with the highest cumulative Round 2 total in each region takes home an exclusive custom GWD trophy!
• The Random Geek Draw: Here for the beer and vibes more than the questions and facts? No worries, you’re still in the running. Every week you play and log a score enters your team into the $120 Random Geek Champion cash drawing at the end of the competition. We’ll be handing that out to FIVE teams per region! Play at least 2 weeks to qualify—the more weeks you play, the better your odds.
