Rumble in the Pub - FAQs

No formal registration process! When you join the digital game room at your local quiz, make sure to input your email address and use the same email every week. This will allow us to tabulate your total score week to week.

Teams can earn points for Rumble in the Pub at participating Geeks Who Drink locations starting on Sunday, October 18. The league will run for 8 weeks, with the last qualifying quizzes running on Saturday December 12.

There are six major markets participating in this league: Albuquerque, Boston, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Portland, and Rochester. Please be aware that this list may be updated with exiting or additional venues launching new quiz nights during the competition period. See full list of participating venues.

Overall league standing will be based on a cumulation of teams’ best final scores of each week during the competition period. This includes the use of the Joker and any points doubled as a result.

In addition to your total score at the end of the night, we will also track teams’ single highest raw Round 2 score each week. This does not include use of the Joker, meaning the highest point value that can be scored for the week is a 16. The summation of a team’s highest weekly scores will determine the regional winner of the Round 2 prize.

Yes! If you play more than once in a week (Sunday–Saturday), we’ll count your single highest full-game score of the week toward your 8-week cumulative total. For example if you finish a game with 80 points on Tuesday and finish with 92 points on Wednesday that same week, ONLY Wednesday’s game will count toward your league total.

Your scores are tied to the email address used when joining our digital game room. So again, be sure to enter the same email address every time you play so we can calculate your best scores.

Nope. Quizzes at one venue cannot be transferred or attributed to another region. Games played in a different region will still count toward your team’s national ranking, but regionally will only count toward the specific region the game is played in. You’ll still have the opportunity to play a different game that week within your desired region.

Just by playing! Every time you join a qualifying Geeks Who Drink game with your given email, you’ll earn an entry into the random draw. Play as many times as you can during the week in order to increase your chances.

All teams winning prizes will be contacted via email using the email address they’ve used to login. So make sure you still have the password to whatever email account you used to join the quiz.

Nope. If you don’t put your email address in at the start of the quiz, or put the wrong email address in at the start of the quiz, those points cannot be moved or transferred. So, for a third time, use the same email address every single time you come to quiz and put it in at the start of the game.

We usually ask the questions, but you can reach out to marketing@geekswhodrink.com if you’re looking for more details or clarification.
