Mission Statement: Blue Sky Fund’s (BSF) mission is to provide transformational experiences for Richmond area youth through outdoor education. We help youth from under-resourced areas across Richmond, VA to improve academic achievement, especially in the sciences, by engaging them in active outdoor education with the support of staff trained in trauma-informed care. Additionally, we strengthen resilience through connecting with nature and in turn support students as they expand horizons, increase confidence, and build collaboration skills.
