Diane, 7pm April 6th. I'm entering the town of Twin Peaks. They're having a pub quiz Diane. I've never seen so many Geeks in my life. Got to find out what kind of Geeks these are. They're really something. As W. C. Fields would say, I'd rather be here than Philadelphia.

Is all that you really need a clean place, reasonably priced? Are you still waiting for that gum you like to come back in Style? Does your log have something to tell us? If so, let Diane know you're on your way to The Answers are Not What They Seem: A Twin Peaks Quiz! We're getting psyched up for the new season, so we're bringing you our first ever theme quiz on the David Lynch TV series.

Both seasons of the show are fair game as well as Fire Walk with Me and The Missing Peices, so settle in with a damn fine of cup of coffee and get watching! GWD theme quizzes carry a $5 per player entry fee and the winners will take home enough cash for at least one night at the Great Northern. Otherwise Normal Geeks Who Drink rules apply. Cheaters will spend 5 minutes in the ring with Nadine Hurley!

We're not entirely sure what happened either in the Red Room either, but gather the 5 best dectectives you know for your team and find your closest location in the list below. Don't miss this, it might be 25 years before we see you again. You are required to register your team in advance (http://bit.ly/ThemeQuizReg) and if you don't see your city below, please select other from this list and we'll add more cities based on demand.

THEMED QUIZ FAQs

Can people under 21 play?

It’s up to the bar, and each venue’s going to be a little different. Check with them directly before you make any plans.

Should I wear a costume?

YES! Some of our venues may have a costume contest if there's enough participation, but that's up to the venue and host.

How do you sign up? Where do you buy tickets?

You can register your team by filling out this form (http://bit.ly/ThemeQuizReg). This is NOT a reservation of seating, but it will ensure that we have ample space for all our teams. We anticipate our theme quizzes will sell out and we will turn away teams that did not pre-register.

How do you change your team name, number of players on the team or cancel a registration?

After you've registered, you can make changes to it by emailing us a info@geekswhodrink.com.

The quiz is sold out? What do I do now?

You can still register for the event for a stand-by spot! If there's sufficient interest, or a team drops out, we'll let you know! We make no promises that you'll be able to get in, but if we can make it happen, you'll be the first to know.

Is this a free quiz?

No, it's $5 per person to play (bring cash!), and we'll ask you to pay for everyone on your team before we give you quiz materials. If a team member is going to be late, we won't ask you pay in advance, but if they fail to pay on arrival, your team will be DQ'd.

What's the maximum/minimum players per team?

There is no minimum, but if you want to win, you should have a fully staffed squad. We're happy to help you find teammates in advance on social media or on the day of. Team maximum is strictly six players, as always. Everyone sitting with you is considered part of your team.

Do spectators have to pay?

Yes. Yes, they do. Spectators generally have to pay for sporting events, right? This also goes for Geeks Who Drink employees that aren't working at the event and the people they make love to.

Can my dad/girlfriend/friend sit at our table and not play?

No. Six people max on a team and all players must pay. If they're sitting with you and not playing, we're going to ask that they move.

Can you host this at BLANK bar in BLANK city?

Probably not. You can register for the quiz under "Other" and if we see a lot of interest, we'll look into adding the quiz or bringing it to you sometime in the future.

How is the prize amount determined?

In most cases, the prize amount is 50% of the total take. Why not 100%? Because we have to cover our costs of producing and marketing these event quizzes. If the pot is sufficiently large, we'll split it between first and second or first, second and third place.

Will BLANK TOPIC be covered?

Everything is fair game. Study hard. Apply yourself. And we never give clues.

How long will the quiz last?

Our regular quizzes run about 1.5-2 hours, but themed quizzes require a bit more heavy lifting in terms of logistics, scoring and extra stuff we may have planned. Average is about 3 hours.

I'd like to help promote the quiz/talk to you on my podcast/contribute some bonus prizes.

Great! Contact us at info@geekswhodrink.com and we'll see about making that happen.
