The Setting SunKirsten
The brutal, unyielding rays burst through the open metal doors as a brewery mutt bounds into the otherwise dim tap room. It was a honor to sit in for your regular host Ian last night. I got to work on my tan while quizzing, which my pale skin pretty badly needed.
Our quiz was dominated by Burning Out Quizmasters for seven rounds, but in an upset, We Don’t Make the Rules, We Just Vigorously Enforce Them made away with the top prize. Among other lesser versions, we were treated to the most beautiful, fantastic rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” that any of us had ever heard in our entire lives, performed by our Great and Fearless Commander in Chief and Leader Extraordinaire who has never done anything wrong or misguided in his truly fabulous life. He’s the innocent subject of a liberal witch hunt. Let’s throw him in the Potomac and see if he drowns.
It’s been real, Palmer. Until our paths cross again.
At the tender age of seven, Kirsten sat crying under the coat rack in Mrs. Johnston's second grade classroom. A job that feeds her know-it-all soul.
