The Quiz Where I Offended Half the Bar by Saying That a Llama and an Alpaca Are the Same ThingJared
It was also the quiz in which I realized that some of you actually read these things, so now I feel like I have to write more better or some shit. Or not. You are probably just checking to make sure I didn't screw up your scores or to look at pictures of yourself with your team. You don't really care what I'm writing about. I'm so alone right now.
Anyway, to answer all your questions, my Thanksgiving was good, my anniversary was great, and I still don't give a shit about the differences between alpacas and llamas. Although I learned that llamas are much bigger. So I've got that going for me.
Now to the stuff you care about. We had a pub quiz at The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and it was a lot of fun! Round 1 was tougher than I expected, and round 2 forced you to listen to a little snippet of someone covering I Wanna Sex You Up. I'm sorry for that. I really am. Round 3 was a fun one if you're a history nerd (like me) and round 4 was a fun one if you like poop jokes (like everyone!). Round 5 was kind of a tough visual round, and round 6 was made just for me (a dad who drinks a lot of beer). Round 7 was about old people, and round 8 lived up to its reputation of being what round 8 always is.
It was a close game again this week with the return of a few teams we haven't seen in a while. Argyle Fox was back and took 5th and The MustGetBeers were back to take 6th. This dropped regulars The Taming of the Brew to 7th, Taking Back Tuesday to an 8th place tie with Big MK, and MENSA Rejects to 10th. 4th went to Goofy Goobers and 3rd went to Ancient Mariners. And that left us with a tie for first between Book Hockey and Smarty Pints, but the latter won the tiebreaker!
We're in a cumulative competition and it's three weeks in and still really close. See you on Tuesday and every Tuesday for Geeks Who Drink!
Jared is most definitely a geek who drinks. In addition to hosting the Pub Quiz at HMB Brewing Company, he hosts The Rocky Horror Picture Show in San Francisco. Also, there's probably a day job somewhere.
