Hello Quizzers! The name is Jay and this Quizmaster's story begins in Skokie, Illinois, but since very few people from the Boston-area know where that is, let's just call it Chicago; I mean, its a direct subway line and only two towns over....FINE, I grew up in a suburb, are you happy now? Graduated from Babson College in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master's in Accounting. I'm a nerd by day, and a geek by night. Decided to stay out here and give this East-coast thing a shot. I like to follow the Vin Diesel school of Geekdom. If you want to compare lifts and gym routines, I'll be there; but if you want to geek out, and I mean if you REALLY want to geek out, I'm your go-to-guy. -Music? 5x year attendee of Lollapalooza Music Festival, 3x Karaoke champion in 2008. I will stand firmly behind the idea that RHCP needs John Frusciante, Progressive R&B is the music of the future, and that Drum & Bass is the best EDM sub-genre. -Video Games? Been playing since Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES, and haven't stopped since. Been watching them constantly since my dad made me watch Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme at age 5. Tito-Mania 3: Revenge of the Tito
Play Freebird!

Current Champions: It's the Equinox baby, when my axis gets tangent with the curve of your celestial body Former Champions: Smirnoffs Well, I lost all my fantasy running backs..I guess now I’ll need to actually watch football like a normal human being. Tito’s is still here with more Voka-y goodness. Anyway, here’s my recap and ramblings of a few things tonight, known as my Notent Notables:   -One of the few good things in Cleveland (R2): Who’s in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Well, Motorhead isn’t. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are, which is just awesome. Nirvana is in there,

FPS, MOBA, JRPG, MMORPG, whatever the hell Katamari Damacy was (other than completely awesome), I got you covered. -TV? I may or may not still reference lines from Archer, South Park, Futurama, and the Simpsons on a daily basis. -Movies? Been watching them constantly since my dad made me watch Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme at age 5. Favorite View Askew (Kevin Smith) comedies are Clerks and Chasing Amy, least favorites are Mallrats and Clerks II; I refuse to count Jersey Girl as an actual member of that universe. -General Geekiness? I had a 3-month stint as Dungeon Master for my D&D group, I hosted a LAN-party about a week before writing this bio, and I make sure to check IGN, Kotaku, and Reddit on a daily (closer to hourly)-basis With all that said, I hope to see you on the quizzing battlegrounds soon. Anyway, here’s my recap and ramblings of a few things tonight, known as my Notent Notables:   -Kan-Bae West (R4): Round 3 was all on ridiculous things that Kanye or Mae West might have done. Being around during the “Kanye just discovered Twitter”-era was quite the treat, and introduced us to a lot of awesome moments. Just look up Josh Groban singing Kanye West tweets, trust me, it’s worth your

Anyway, here’s my recap and ramblings of a few things tonight, known as my Notent Notables:   -eeooiiieee (R4): Round 4 was a round on words with double vowels. More Potter, Please, Pottermore?

Today we hosted The Geeky Cauldron: A Harry Potter Quiz at White Horse and it was a great success!  All in all 51 teams played for a first place cash prize of almost $400!  We covered lots of book canon with a few movie questions thrown in, too.  We gave away some bonus prizes, too!  To our first place team at the halfway point (For Fawkes Sake) we gave a Dumbledore Pop! Figurine and prior to the quiz, I hid a Golden Snitch under a chair - that person won a Dobby Pop! Figurine.   Top prize this evening went to Neville Gonna Give You Up, Neville Gonna Let You Down, a 5-person team (but down to 4 people halfway through).  I
