Big Trouble In Little Vagina

Last night was really great. We had 36 teams, a few Batman spoiler alerts, and one really fucked up team name. We also ended the quiz at 12:02. I'm always really impressed with myself (and Chelsea) when we finish the quiz on time. I mean, we usually do end on time, or close to it, but it takes a lot more work to end on time with a higher team count. Below 32 is no problem, but once you get over 35, it's starts getting a little hairy. I know our job looks glamorous, but staying on schedule takes a lot of concentration.

Last night Big Trouble In Little Vagina had a strong finish, with just one point away from 1st place. I don't think these guys have ever placed before. I went over and chatted with them for a while. It's always really, really flattering when quizzers say they like me, but these guys might be stalkers. I mean, really. Guys, it's nice that you like our quiz and everything, but I don't want to end up in the trunk of your car.

Chelsea always says that we are like the local news team. Mostly because we get recognized at the store, movie theater, or other random places in Austin. But with 3 quizzes a week and our very unique looks, we get recognized a lot. I started carrying a Sharpie with me in case anyone wants an autograph.

This is really a self-indulgent recap. Let's change it up a little.

So, we had to give away this Zip-It game for the email bonus question. We received the game in our prize shipment 2 months ago but were told over and over that we couldn't give it away yet. Then we got this email a few days ago saying that we had to give it away for the email bonus prize and take a picture of the winner holding it. I have no idea why; we were given zero information. So I gave it away and took the picture as instructed. At the end of quiz I was taking everyone's team picture. I walked up to Two Pinks and A Stink, and they had the Zip It game opened and spread out all over their table. I said, "Oh! You're playiing it! Is it fun?" They looked at me and calmly said, "We don't know, we're just trying to spell out our team name but we ran out of letters."

And so ends the Great Zip It Surprise.
