Man, are we glad to be back at our favorite quizzin' bar! We left you in the very capable hands of QM Samantha and QM Kavi while Chelsea and I ran around New Mexico last week. I hear you guys had one helluva turnout, and you had a great time!
Last night we started off with Recently In Stuff, touched on a little Heartache, and had a quick Sooner or Later:Ride That Train round. Our Video Round was really fun, and you guys did pretty well on it, along with the Visual Round on Armored Guards.
We had a whopping 29 teams, and one of the teams tried desperately for me to express my desire to have a large horse cock in and around my mouth. Sorry guys, I fell for that one a LOT back in my rookie days. Now you're dealing with a veteran QM, and I try my best to thwart your Penis Attacks.
Mr. and Mrs. Tramp were both there last night, bustling around and making sure everyone was having a nice time. We had a pretty full bar, and you got a little rowdy sometimes, but thanks to Tramps bumpin' sound system, no one had any trouble hearing what was going on. Except for one team outside, who thought I kept skipping questions. I still don't know what was going on with that.
You kids be good and we will see you at Tramps next Wednesday, which marks the day after my birthday. No presents needed, but if no one shows up, I will be very sad. So don't forget to come to quiz next week and wish me a belated bday! xoxo, Evelyn & Chelsea

Oh Hey There Mister Tramps!
Kavi and I always love subbing for Evelyn and Chelsea with you guys because, you're just so darn awesome. Tonight was no exception, when we had a whopping 32 teams in the house.
Thirty. Two. Officially the largest quiz audience I've ever read for--if you don't count Geek Bowl. Thank you all for being so awesome--except of course, for the table of what appeared to be lost teeneagers right in front of me. They pulled their phones out, made faces at me, and generally made fun of how seriously we take quiz at Mister Tramps. That's totally fine--they ended up coming in last after getting docked points each time I saw a phone hit the table.
So here's what I have to say to the table of wannabe hipster children:
When you pulled out your phone the first time, I saw you, you know, and we quietly docked your points. Then, when patrons had to tell you to STFU on multiple occasions, you instead started to make fun of my teams. My people. Now, that's quick way to piss off a Quiz Master, especially when you're sitting right in front of her, rolling your eyes and flipping your "it's just messy enough to look like I don't care how I look, but really I spent hours getting it this way" hair.
Did you guys get lost on your way to Barbarella? Were you somehow confused, when, once you entered Mister Tramps, you realized that there was a pub quiz going on there, and that everyone around you seemed to want to play? You can make fun of us all you want, that's totally cool. But the folks that you're making fun of are probably your future bosses--you would have done better if you had brought resumes instead of your smartphones. Although, when I think about it, that would require forethought, and you clearly have no thoughts, let alone ones that require future planning.
Anyway, let's talk about the other 31 teams who didn't suck and the quiz.
We had a Duh round followed by a diverse musical round featuring Songs About Wolves (including an actual symphonic march--Hint: not everything classical was written by Mozart--although I get where your head was at)
Round 3 had you guys in some deep geek subculture in: Subreddit or some shit we made up? One team just slapped down "real" the whole way and turned it in without hearing the round--the strategy actually paid off and they got 6 of 8! Yes, Gentleman Boners is a thing.
Round 4 was called Ride That Fence, a whole round on Borders. We talked about all kinds of borders--geographical, book stores, etc, while Round 5 had you identifying movie posters where the main character had their back to us.
Round 6 was all about Deals with the Devil that characters in books had made throughout time. I had totally forgotten about Faust, and the million times I had to read it for literature classes throughout my life.
Round 7 was our video round where you had to tell me what song was being featured in the Literal Video. If you haven't seen the video for total eclipse of the heart, you should seriously pull up another tab and search it immediately. When you're done, make sure you also watch I would do anything for love.
With 32 teams, we had monster ties going into round 8. There was a 6-way tie for 2nd place, but many teams had not used their joker. As it turned out after Round 8, several of the "middle-of-the-road" scorers hurdled to the top of the list, with a tie between Giant Bag of Dicks? and I want my 40 Hours and a Mule.
We decided to use a different tie breaker this time: I charged both teams of attempting to draw the "most accurate" outline of Rhode Island. What I didn't know was one team had a freakin' cartographer on their team who knew that Rhode Island had... actual islands! They took home second place.
Ignoscio came from behind (heh heh) and took 1st place! Nice work!
Thank you all again for being such an awesome crowd! Chelsea and Evelyn will be back soon!
xoxo,
Samantha and Kavi

Hi Mister Tramps Quizzers! Last night we had a great quiz, and covered a lot of material. Anytime we start out the quiz with Manboobs, you know it's going to be spectacular. We welcomed brand-new baby team Lesbian Penguins, who are not at all lesbians and not at all penguins. Except for the guy sitting at their table; he was a bit of both. They had a great time and I'm pretty sure we'll see them again.
Stop Motion Strawberry Shortcake was back on top, taking home the gold. 2nd place went to Charles Ramsey In Charge, while 3rd place was awarded to Buddy Garrity's Booster Club.
Along with Manboobs, we also quizzed about Captain Planet's iPod, and had a Speed Round on News Sites. The video round was pretty cool; we haven't had a round like that before. I won't spoil it for the quizzers that haven't video-rounded this week, but let's just say that it is very different than the type of video round that we are used to.
We had a great time with all of you, and I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time. We even finished up with a few minutes to spare, which is good because I got to chat with you guys a little more than usual after quiz. That's kinda my favorite part.
Hope to see you all again soon! xoxo, Evelyn & Chelsea
