10 years ago, I left the frozen tundra of Canada to escape the blistering cold of winter, only to move to South Texas where I now run the risk of combusting in the blistering heat of summer.  Apparently I'm drawn to extremes.  No middle of the road for this Crazy Canuck.

I was in severe need of a creative outlet and a place where yelling obsenities at people was acceptable, (and wouldn't get me fired).  Then one day I was handed a microphone by the Overlords at Geeks Who Drink.  I was instructed to "Go forth and entertain drunken nerds with wit and snark.  Oh, and ask them these quiz questions while you're there."

And so I did, and it was good.

If you quiz at a venue where video rounds are shown for round 7, then chances are it was produced by me.  I hope you enjoy them.

I have been accused of "hating everything" but I actually like many things.  I am a total geek for Star Wars, the works of Neil Gaiman, The Ramones, Shonen Knife, Nerdist, (Classic) Dr. Who, pro wrestling, good beer, poutine, British television and cheese.  All else is pointless, irrelevant and a waste of time.

I am also a part-time ninja.

So, today was the day that people either didn't buy a chicken sandwich or they made a big show of buying a chicken sandwich. You supported The Muppets or you didn't. Personally, my opinion is one of surprise. Surpise that people are just finding out about Chick-Fil-A's donations now. I've known about this for about 5 years now at least. Yup. I'm a hipster Chick-Fil-A hater. I was boycotting them before it was cool. I also refuse to have anything to do with the Boy Scouts beause of who they do and don't allow into their organization. Boycotting them is not an affront to free-speech as some have said. They have every right to give their money to whoever they want to. And I have every right to not support them. And that's exactly what I do. And to be perfectly honest, I really love their waffle fries. Like seriously love them. However I've not had any in many years because of where my dollars could end up. Honestly, it's not that hard to give up their chicken, people. It's not. Really. Anyway, enough about that, we had a quiz tonight!

It's always a great night when I get to see some players that I haven't seen in a few months. Missed you Rackspacers! Glad to have you back in the fold. The team of Firehouse regulars also came out to take on the competition. All in all, it was a great night. I miss the banter that these teams have with me, so I always know it's going to be a fun night when all these stars align.

On paper, the difference is only one latter, bu I'm pretty sure there would be a rather noticable difference between “Low Rider” by War and “Low Rider” by Gwar. But I'll tell you this: A version by Gwar would probably be the greatest thing EVER.

For round three tonight we got to compare Ron Jeremy's dick to several objects we are all familiar with. The dick jokes were flying! I think the shake weight is one of those things where if you can handle one of those with ease, you could definitely handle Ron's man meat. At least manually. Let's face it, that's what the shake weight is for, right? Hand job practice?

We had a great visual round as well. It was one of those visual rounds where you got to study it for about an hour, then you had to answer questions about what was on it. Of course this is after we took it away from you. I was very pleased with the scores for that round and you all bettered my expectations.

I unleashed a video round on you tonight more than one team decided to bust my balls about that movie The Room again. The Room II: Electric Boogaloo? Someone get Tomy Wiseau on the phone and shovel about $50 at him so he can make this happen. A quizzer told me after quiz that there's apparently a The Room: The Musical coming out in Chicago. Holy. Shit. I need to see this! But seriously, I promised you all already that I won't use The Room again in a video round for at least a few months. Ok?
