Nick is one of the rare people who was born in Las Vegas long before it became Disneyland for degenerates. His growing discomfort for heat, and ongoing feud with some Canadian boy named Celine Dion led him to the land of Zion. Upon discovering this wasn't the same land of Zion mentioned in The Matrix, he decided to make the best of the situation and began hosting pub quizzes. 

His hobbies include drinking, eating, teaching children to swear, cooking, and being one of the last people on earth who thinks CDs are the only way to buy music. His turnoffs are walks on the beach, because that combines sun, sand, and countless bacterias growing in the moist heat. 

By day he looks at an endless supply of MBA student assignments and weeps for the future. His most recent inappropriate comment to a student was, "I could take your business proposal to run an armoury for Live-Action-Role-Players seriously if it wasn't for the 793 grammatical errors which impeded my giggling."

He's not a licensed therapist, but he's happy to take a look inside your head and solve your problems. Better yet, come out to a quiz and drink your troubles away.

Hot times at Piper Down. Now that the temperatures are cooling off, the competition is really heating up. We had 6 teams within 3 points of the win. Coming out on top, Nick's Mom: one swell bitch. Just behind them, Shanks for coming got the second place spot on top of Kittenz who surged up into the top in round eight.

So, we tested a new concept for round three. Kind of like a “Say When” without the when. Players, what did you think? Drop a comment on here, and tell me what you thought about the “sooner or later” round on the colleges. Fun? Not so much? Just filled with self-mourning over those you thought you had? Any feedback is happily welcomed.

Thanks to the “Outcasts” for experiencing the game here. Whomever you are, you are always welcome at Piper Down. Consider it your home, only keep your pants on and take care of the staff. I'd like to think that I am inclusive of all sorts of people. I welcome those who consider themselves outcasts, and swear to do everything I can to make you feel part of the gang. Yes, you are now my brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters in this geek-mafia. Fortunately, I'm too lazy to really develop any initiation hazing, so a few jokes at your expense is all you'll have to deal with.

On that note, I want more members of this big Geeks Who Drink family. We want players, we want Quizmasters, we want people to know more about what we are doing. When you play, tell your friends. A simple Facebook like or post about our quiz can spread to hundreds of people, and I will love you forever if you help spread the word.
