Trident Grill offers up a great beer special every week for our geeks, plus, they just have a stellar selection of taps in general. If you didn’t know already, they’ve even got Left Hand Milk Stout on nitro-tap, which is pretty much how life should be.

Last night, I was pleased to learn that they have the Dogfish Head Punkin seasonal. I know we are all inundated with pumpkin flavored everything, but this one is definitely worth a taste. If I haven’t sold you on the delicious pumpkin and brown sugar spice appeal, your boozy ass should also note that it is 7.0% ABV (Alcohol By Volume). I hope you realize now that I’m beer snob, not just a drunk.

You know what makes my life infinitely better? James Keane. He always folds the e-mail bonus question into delightful origami animals. Leslie tossed the little tiny baby T-rex from last night, though, so I’m going to need another one.

So, we started off the quiz with Round 1: Bees, Injuries, & Honey Boo Boo Child. Despite feeling stupid for just saying “Honey Boo Boo Child”, I do appreciate her stance on the gays. I have not seen the show, but apparently, her gay Uncle Poodle visited the family. Her official position is one of advocacy for the LGBTQ community, stating “Ain’t nothin’ wrong with being gay. Errybody a little gay.”

Alright, I already busted their balls about this, but once more couldn’t hurt; the movie where Macaulay Culkin dies from bee stings is My Girl,and a team of 2 dudes, The Refuse, were the only people in the bar  who obviously have not seen it. Tell me, do you know what a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is? How ‘bout a POG or a Yo-yo?? I don’t even want to know what else you were deprived of as children.

I’ll say it, I’ll say it! This is It by Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald is a good song. Oh, btw, me and Skye have a song. It's Falling In Love With You by UB40. So, be jealous.

Round 4: You’re Just Making Shit Up was a pleasant round in which we discussed Freud’s theory of the super-ego. I’m Id. Fuck super-ego. Also, fuck ego.

So, Halloween falls on a Wednesday, meaning we’re going to be quizzing it up in costume. The powers that be at Trident tell me that they are prepared to throw down and make it an awesome quiz night. Like, I’ve been invited to a lunch meeting with the management to discuss, at length, what kind of prizes and funtivities will be had. Stay tuned.
