I enjoy long walks on the beach, bourbon and zombies.  

I have a BS in BS.  I can BS in at least 2 languages and I can convincingly imitate a few others.

I enjoy any occasion to dress up.  I will go disco, zombie or Mandalorian if you give me a reason. 

I am Caribbean Joe.  Born in Texas, I lived in the southwest pretty much all my life.  A desert dweller's life for me.  

So I picked up quizzing after my lovely fiancee and scorer, Island Amy, turned me on to the audition.  The rest is history.  Loving the quiz and the people it draws.  If I am not quizzing, you may find me out on 4th enjoying Tucson.

So while Joe was away, the mice did play.  I am happy to see Jean Luc aka Julio took care of you guys while I was off celebrating the fact that I made it another year, in Vegas.  What happens in Vegas goes on Facebook now it seems.  Hopefully some of you all that friended me were able to follow my drunken party escapades.  For those of you who haven’t, let me just say it was awesome.  Truly a birthday to remember, if I can.  Bottle service at the cabana made short work of my memory.  Thanks to Island Amy  and Rogue 4 for making it a great time.

For the rest of you, I had a great night tonight.  You are what makes quiz great.  As I have said in the past, if it weren’t for the quizzers, I’d be talking to myself.  So thanks for keeping me somewhat sane.

Twas a fun crowd tonight.  Some vets and a few new faces.  Lots of enthusiasm (which I thoroughly enjoy).  After quiz, it was just as fun.  Did I mention that The Hut has free pool on Sundays?  (No, not the swimming kind, the balls kind.)  Ashley and Natalie really set the stage as well.  The fine pair of bar tenders that one would want to have.  So make it out next week and have a mojito or any of the other tasty drinks they have.  You will not be disappointed.

 What was on tap tonight?

  1. A Round of mystery that ended up featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Pizza is definitely better with cheese.
  2. Psy is the hot shit right now, Gangnam Style still can’t stop the Talking Heads thought.  Psycho Killer will get you in the end.
  3. Ivy League?  Fuck those guys.  On second thought, don’t fuck those guys.  Stop them from reproducing.  That is what is wrong with our country today. 
  4. Cheeseheads are a fun bunch.  When is the last time you heard of a riot at a Packers game?
  5. Too Big to Fail was fun for everyone it seems.  A lot of perfect rounds.  You can never go wrong with Ghostbusters.
  6. Is reading really that bad?  I love it myself.  Is it wrong that I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice?  Fuck you, I’m keeping my man card.  Add zombies for a tasty mix.
  7. String TV was sadly not about string theory, but you rocked it just the same.  Game of Thrones is popular as hell.  I guess it must be all the boobs in it.  I hear you can see Nymphadora Tonks topless in it. 
  8. Randomness is the way to close a quiz.  “Will you be my Mary Magdalene?  Will you be my American dream?”  Also, when answering, use the regular numbers.  Don’t make me do math.  Math is hard.

Of all the top teams, only one came out as the toppiest.  What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas until you go to the clinic rocked it out with a one point win to take the $25 Hut gift certificate.  In a close second was, Rubber.  They got the $15 Hut gift certificate.   Alicia won the email bonus to get the BBQ Chef Hat.  Way to rock it in style.  Good on you to our winners.
