My name is Jonathan and I hail from West Roxbury.  I came over from a competing pub quiz company in the Boston area that was started in this very same neighborhood.  If you can guess who they are, message me with the correct answer to win nothing.  You know who else comes from here?  The actress who played Dagny in Atlas Shrugged Part I but not Atlas Shrugged Part II.  I bet you'd love to know more fun facts about West Roxbury.

I grew up in a Suburban town South of Boston which now includes a large retail outpost for a company in Sweden that makes furniture. After high school I spent the next 12 years in Philadelphia where I paid a large amount of money for a college degree which I do not currently use.  Over 40 grand to lose my Boston accent.  I also hacked out a living in my post-college career bumming around the "Swamps of Jersey".  These days I work behind the bar at a Restaurant in Boston that goes through thousands of oysters a day.  Slimy.  

As far as quizmastering goes, you can find me running the show at Phoenix Landing in Central Square on Wednesday nights at 7:30 as well as at Shoppers Cafe in Waltham on Thursday nights at 8:00.  Stop by and say hi.

Cats, Chickens and the Olympics- OH MY!  Tonight’s quiz was our second week here at Brighton Beer Garden and our cult continues to grow.  I’ve even got a special batch of kool-aid to pass out to everyone next week!   Take That Jim Jones!  We had some slight audio issues again, but we will work out the kinks, mark my words. 

Tonight’s highest total score of just 57 points was pretty embarrassing but it was enough to make Bottle In Frontamees your pub quiz champions.  Two measley points separated them from The Slunts and our four-person Quizmaster Super Team Dicker? I Hardly Knew Her came up short like they were born to do, 3rd place for those eternal losers.  They heckled me quite a bit, but I chose not to deduct any points out of pity (they did pretty bad!)  

Yes there is a town in Alaska with a cat for a Mayor, and yes, America’s biggest importer of foreign oil is Canada?!  Canada related fun-facts continue to impress me every week, but not enough to ever visit that wasteland.  I’ll just stay here in the land of underperforming sports teams, bro’s and hoe’s.
