GWD is pretty much all I dreamed of!!!!!!!!!!!   Quizzlings coming out and having a great time with food and drinks! I am married to a beautiful young lady named Casey and we have our hands full with our son JJ.

Come down and join me at Slate Street in Rio Rancho on Thursday nights, 7pm and let me entertain you!

P.S.  I would like to say that I always knew I would be working on Central, just not entertaining people this way........

P.S.S.  If you are from Philly and do noy understand my "Central" comment, our Central Ave is just like all the streets in Philly....it has tons of hookers on it...

P.S.S.S.  I just wrote this with one hand.....I am that excited to be a Quizmaster!

And cake and a great time were had by all!!!  What a great way to kick off my birthday week!  We had a sound 10 teams this evening at Dublin's.  I love my regulars, but much love to the team that was here on a business conference from out of town.  They hailed from Alaska, Seattle, Wyoming and New York.  I made one of them almost snort a cucumber out of her nose when I was reading the questions to the "Sexicography" Round this evening.  I love my job and that I get to ask a group of almost complete strangers if a word means someone who is turned on by antisocial behavior or someone who "takes it in the butt"! I also had to stop myself for a minute as well because in the "Rangefinder Cities" round, the lady from Alaska was trying to give driving directions from the city in Alaska (which is 35 miles from where she currently lives" to the Russian city that the question had asked for.  In all fairness, she thought I said Canada, AND she was totally sloshed.  Hey Seattle, Alaska (soon) and New York Quizmasters....YOUR WELCOME!  I know these kids are going to be on the lookout for a quiz near them when they get home!  I will put a memo into management to try to get something up in Wyoming (cause I have that kind of pull)....

Speaking of pull, Tegan (one of MY regulars) was so pumped that her drawing made the Geek in Review last week, she submitted 3 more drawings this week! My camera is a piece of shit so I put numbers by the pics and here is what each one said: 1.  said nothing...it is a cock for Pete's sake!  2.  Was inspired by our visual round "Art Class with Ecce Fresco" with Tegan's falic representation of "The Dick With the Pearl Earring".  3. Took place at the RNC and "Dick" Eastwood stating "Ok, you wanna make my day?  Alright, I'll start it.  You finish it.  Go ahead, make my day".  Boy, that was a mouthful!!!

Since it is my birthday week, I decided to get my quizzlings a little something since they put up with my witty banter (at least I think so) all the time!  I brought them a delicious cake.  The poor girl at the bakery was very uncomfortable with all the funny and obscene things I wanted her to write on my cake. She finally had to break it to me that she is not allowed to write any vulgarities or she would be fired.  We compromised with "Eat Me!!!", which I thought wasn't too bad, until I took my cake up to the register.  It was your normal conversation, plates, forks, 1/2 sheet of cake with "Eat Me!!!" written on it....she was totally baffled!  Why would someone want that on their birthday cake?" Because I am a Quizmaster" is all I could respond...

Congrats to Michelle and Erica for picking up the bonus facebook prizes found HERE.  As usual, I had an offer set up that if you claim it, you get a ticket and a chance for me to buy you a beer or dessert. The other chance for a free beer or dessert this week came because I did not have enough money to gamble on my football team.  Now, I do not have any pride left either! Yes, I am a Giants fan and I had to wear a Tony Romo jersey tonight because the Giants lost their season opener....it's gonna be a long season!

Congrats to Mary for getting the bonus email question right and walking away with some sweet "Geeks" socks!

We had our first tie breaker tonight to decide 1st and 2nd place.  We found out just how fat the peeps in Mississippi are!  And with that, may I present to you the Princes/Princessess of the geek universe this evening:  "Insert Obvious Romo Joke Here..."!

Congrats to "The Cowboys beat the Giants (and their mothers)" for scoring second.  Damn Eric and his "Price is Right" rules!!!!!!!!

Love to everyone!

See you next week

P.S.S.S.  I just wrote this with one hand.....I am that excited to be a Quizmaster!

We have been doing the quiz for 3 months now at Dublin's, and tonight by far has been the greatest night of my short Quizmaster career.  First off, we had the arrival last night of Ching Chong and he made his debut at another quiz.  A brief history of Ching Chong, or Little Ching Chong as proclaimed last night:  he was a doodle on a quizmaster's notepad during a boring meeting he was in the middle of and now...the little angry hamster is viral amongst GWD!  Then, the lovely Kegan brings me a surprise!  It is a t shirt that states "The Best Eric"!  Yup!  Pretty bad ass!  And finally, not only did my quizzlings accept Little Ching Chong, they ate him up!  He has been requested at next week's quiz and someone suggested he be our official mascot! I seriously love you guys!  And finally, we got the coolest doodle of a penis tonight!  It totally brings new meaning to "getting it up"!!!

Round recap:

Round one tonight we had BBTV.  All the answers were alliterative "BB"s.  I tried my best Stewie voice to say "Wheaton" but failed in the process!

Round two was a mashup "test" as per say.  Pretty sure Ben E. King would be rolling over in his grave if he were dead...but this might just push him to the other side if he ever finds out he was paired with Katy Perry...even if it was just 24 seconds!

Round three was a speed round on the Beatles and their hoes....wives to be more exact!  I did not know that John and Yoko were officially married, but of course, I was 3 when he was murdered, so it is not like it was a life event I would have remembered...

Round four was all about those stupid babies!  You kids tried to put Charlie Sheen as one of the MAIN leads in  Three Men and a Baby... Just because it was a shitty movie and filmed in the 80s...DOES NOT mean Charlie Sheen was one of the leads for said movie!  Also, it looks like Team Jacob put the stakes to that glittery vampire bitch!

Round five was the visual round with cards from board games.  There was Candyland, Operation, Pokemon and Uno.

Round 6 we had beer on film.  You nailed the "Bad News Bears"...oh how the times have changed!  In 1976 it was perfectly funny for an old creepy drunk to drive your kids around to play baseball...nowadays, the parents are usually having fist fights over the shitty call at first base....Also, "Beerfest" was mentioned and let it be known that yours truly got to be an extra on that film.  I was on the set for 8 days and I actually got on screen...for like 2 seconds!  Yup, big time right here!

Round 7 was the song "Like a Rolling Stone" that has been done by pretty much everyone apparently!  We clipped together 8 bands and such to create the whole song for you, you had to name the artist. Without a doubt the round was a tough one, but how do you mistake "Green Day" for Tom Petty??????

And as always, we wrapped up the evening with random knowledge.  I almost sang you the slogan for My Buddy, I slipped you up on the facebook question...SORRY! And I tell my wife all the time that "two in the bathtub is more fun than one"....yeah, that usually does not go over so well with her either!

In the end, we had the top two teams, a mere one point difference between them (and third as well).  Congratulations to "Everybody Ching Chong Tonight" for being our Prince/Princessess of the Geek Universe!  Finally on the upside of a one point difference! Congrats to "Cheech Ching & Chong" for scoring secong (I missed you guys!).  Congrats to Miranda and Vanessa for getting some free drink and grub for the facebook bonus stuff and Vanessa walked away with the bonus email prize as well!

Thank you to everybody for coming.  I could not have this much fun without you regulars!  You are the most awesome quizzlings in all of Geek!  Thanks to the lovely folks of Dublin's for taking great care of us!

Special thank you to Kegan (for the shirts), Patrick, Miranda, Levi, Amanda and double special thanks to Marshall (the only one willing to get on his knees under the quizmaster table...yeah, I will leave it at that so it sounds that dirty!) for coming every single week and totally amazing me!

I would like to thank Derek up in Denver for being a great doodler.  Thanks to Ching Chong for making his guest appearance (I will have to check with his manager if he can be our official mascot).

Keep on rocking and have a great week!

Next week will be the QM birthday week edition... so there might be something in it for you kids!

Love to all

Another great evening went down tonight at Dublin's.  The knowledge flowed like the last time my Aunt Flo came to visit and I got in trouble for wearing white pants!  13 teams came out for food, facts, fun and "free" beer! We had Pavlov's Dog, Nurse Practicioner Dre, Quizzin on Dubs, Harry Crown Jewels, Legitimate Isacc and some Hoosiers battling it out this evening for the grandest of prizes!

Round Recap:

Round 1 started things off with food.  While I love and resemble Poppin' Fresh, the best answer for the night was for the question: "What patriotic nickname did Sauerkraut get during WWI"?  The answer is Liberty Cabbage, but "Saurjews" was on the tip of my tongue!  For the team that put that answer, yes, sauerkraut eventually became known as "saurjews", but that was during WWII...so I could not give you points there. Please don't send me an email about saurjews being a corrent answer for anything, just trust me that it is...for the night...

Round 2 was classic guitar riffs rewind and probably is the only time that Michael Jackson will EVER be mistaken for Black Sabbath!  Also, I just found out that not only do all Van Halen songs sound the same normal, they also sound just like other Van Halen songs played backwards!

Round 3 was a "who is you diety-ous daddy" round and you had to choose between Zues, God, and Vishnu.......HOLY COW!

Round 4 hit us with civilizations and will probably see the Geeks website getting slammed on the errorogenous zone like an anthropologist studying the cromagnum condoms at 7-11.......Damn you ancient wonders of the world!

Round 5 was the visual round with classic 19th century beards.  Good thing it was not modern day beards, or yours truly may have had a shot to be an answer!  It seems a lot of you could pick out Darwin in a lineup....but not Longfellow.

Round 6 we found ourselves picking on the silly Tea Baggers again.  It would be easy to point out the highlight of the night, and that is when we got to the question about "teabagging", kudos to the writers for letting me talk about this and being quite hilarious with the answer of first person shooter.  A lot of teams guessed RPG, but that is when you put on the old cheerleading outfit and prance around for 5 minutes before nookie, not lovingly dipping your ding dongs in your partners mouth!

Round 7 was the audio round where we found out Christopher Walken could have been in several more classic movies.  I really wanted to know the part he was considered for in "Judge Dredd" and I found out it was "Rico" who was played by Armand Assante. He was also considered for the lead in Pretty Woman, Pirates of the Caribbean (yeah, Johnny Depp's role!) and Han Solo!!!

Round 8 was random knowledge brought to us tonight by Shakespeare, Brett Favre, Uganda, the Power Rangers and the letters "F" and "U"!

Thanks to everyone for hanging with us last night!  It was a ton of fun and we will for sure have it again on next Monday!

Give me your feedback of what you thought about the chance to have me buy you some beer (bought by your QM "Other" Eric) and the whole Facebook page.

Congratulations to "Isaac Making Legitimate Landfall" for being your Princes/Princesses of the Geek Universe this evening literally mopping up the competition!

Good job to "Nurse Practicioner Dre" for getting second.

And thanks to the lovely waitstaff and Jacque for taking great care of us this evening at Dublin's!See you all next week!
