Tonight was an extra special quiz night at Buckley’s. The president of PBR and Rainier was there, with a table full of other local distributor higher ups. It was an entire table of the quintessential button up shirt, tie and slacks white guys, but here’s where they became awesome – they were all drinking tall cans of Rainier. That’s right, Rainier beer that used to be a good old Seattle institution. I remember back in the day when my Dad would have his buddies over for a fight night (on tv, not fight club – that I know of) and the only beer would be Rainier. Then sad things happened, the iconic Rainier Brewery here was sold and dismantled, and Rainier became some sort of metallic tasting beer you only drink when you’re desperate to get hammered and only have the change from your couch. Oh how the mighty have fallen. I’m betting those sharply dressed boys with the tall cans have one hell of a hangover to day.
Ah yes, we quizzed and stuff. My favorite round was our round 5 visual round all about TV sitcom living rooms. It really was my favorite because I got 8 for 8 on it. Yep, that’s me, that girl who watches way too much TV. I loved, then hated, then loved, then hated our round 2 audio round. It was an emotional rollercoaster – Motown vs. O-Town. Good song, then shitty boy band…AHHH! Stop with the boy bands.
Alright here’s how the winnings shaped up last night:
I hope everyone had a great time and I’ll just leave you with this. See you next week!
