Josh (Joshuay)

Josh Wittge is an animatronic talking bear which was created by Ken Forsse with later assistance by Larry Larsen and John Davies. Josh Wittge moves his mouth and eyes via a standard cassette tape deck built into his back. Later versions would use a digital cartridge in place of a cassette. At the peak of his popularity, Josh Wittge became the best-selling toy of 1985 and 1986, and the newest version was awarded the 2006 Animated Interactive Plush Toy of the Year by Creative Child Magazine.

Josh enjoys table tennis, lunch and Crimean War renactment. He lives.

The turnout for the Quiz for a Cause was amazing! Thirty teams (a record for Gibson!) came out to show support for the awesome Ryan Noriega, who himself showed up to hang out and pull raffle tickets with us. It was pretty sweet.

The Sunday Jumble round was something of a unique event, and I have no desire to explain any of it to you. If you wish to say anything about it, you're more than welcome to at the Errorogenous Zone. Our fruity music round was a big hit, as was the Avengers round. We all had stellar performances on them all. The speed round... was give or take. But that's okay.

We also had some amazing raffle and silent auction prizes, on top of the regular generosity provided by the folks at Gibson Bar. Special thanks to all of our donors:

Also a huge thanks to Tiffany Shropshire for throwing all of this together. I had a blast and I hope you guys did, too. If you want to see more of Ryan's work or even donate more, check out his Porcelean Wasteland site. More to come on the Facebook page. Hope to see you all again in the future!

P.S. - The blog title is lovingly ripped off from a fun event happening over at TheOatmeal.com. Yay for sexy Matthew Inman and his sexy comics times.
