Neither does my grandmother. We're full blown Italian! Although I've gotten mistaken for a Jew for as long as I can remember. This is a ROMAN nose, people! There's a Geeks regular named Kevin that insists I resemble David Tennant. Had to look that one up. I guess there's worse things to look like than a Hebrew Doctor Who. Such as "a young Harland Williams" for instance. Heard that one recently. Ugh. Hard to feel sexy when you start wondering if when people meet you they think they just ran into RocketMan. I used to get Paul Reubens a lot. Mixed feeling there. I mean I LOVE Pee-wee Herman but I don't wanna look like him! As of late, I've been getting oddly reaccuring comments about my resemblance to Jonathan Richman of the Modern Lovers. Founding father of a highly influence 1970s proto-punk band AND singer of "I Was Dancing In The Lesbian Bar"? Let's go with that!

The aforementioned Kevin of I think The Diabetic Bears expressed some regret for slipping down to 7th place. I'm sorry If I got some team names scrambled. There was so many of you! Sixteen teams in all. And the competition was stiff! Part Of A Complete Breakfast and Asgard Makes My Ass Thor we're tied at top place by the second to last round before Breakfast thumped Thor by just four precious points. Wet Spot made their mark by placing third. Congrats to our top three winners!

Even our one-person teams Not Impressed and Guy Fieri's Tan Lines did a respectable job despite their flying-solo status. The latter didn't get too lonely playing by herself, as she was mesmerized and dazzled by the guy who BROUGHT A FUSHIGI BALL TO THE BAR. If you don't know what Fushigi is it means "mystery" or "secret" in Japanese and refers to a clear, glass or plastic orb used in contact juggling. Kids of the 80s may remember seeing this in action in the movie Labyrinth, in which David Bowie's character is made to look like he's fushigi-ing. (Turns out it was the arms of some other guy hiding behind Bowie's back. Sorry, DB...you've got plently of other skills!) And it is a skill. The balls used for this acienct (maybe?) art (perhaps?) are now sold via infomerical and fine retailers such as Wal-Mart. The ads claim that "Anyone can Fushigi from the minute they pick up the magic gravity ball!" Let's just say that Guy Fieri's Tan Lines didn't exactly find this to be the case when she nearly flung the damn thing across the bar.

Luckily, no one was hurt, including seasoned Quizmasters Tim and Jack who were on deck last night to back me up in the event of a catastrophe. Did I mention this was my first night taking the reigns for GWD?! It was! And it was so fun! Aside from a few minor technical difficults which Cracker Jack and Timichanga helped iron out (you guys don't actually need to hear the audio rounds right?) everything went smoothly. A big thanks to my fellow QMs for the help.

Any night at Redwing is always a blast and I'm excited to be a part of this extra-special one. I hope to get to know all of you dedicated regulars as well as make some new friends. Thank you for playing and letting us go easy on each other for our first, oh-so-tender time together. I hope you had as much fun as I did! See you next week!

Jack Fontenot is 100% normal. Everything is stright down the line. No odd body tricks, no recessive genes. Just plain ole human, completely average. Average height weight and musical ability. He finds new memes pretty much when everyone else does. Some people agree with him politically, some don't. 

There is a place in this universe where everything balances. Many things are thrown into chaos and many things just stay put. That point converges on where ever Jack Fontenot might be at that time and in that space. Its easy there... sometimes but sometimes its not.

Hey Y'all! I will truly miss this so much. Not writing the blog, but doin the quiz. I have had so much fun and I can say this is FOR SURE the funnest job I have ever had. Every team that has played while I hosted, I want to thank you. I know we created a place where we can get together and have some fun. I really don't want to be too cheesy about this whole thing, But I do want to say that hosting these quizzes has been VERY fulfilling. Thank you all for playing. Thank you all for laughing. Thank you all for being so much fun for me! I have had no intentional cheaters. No mean people. No angry with me about anything. Just pure fun and games! (oh and drinking). I will miss this. So much. I will be around at Redwing. Whoever takes my place is going to have a blast with all of you!!

Aight, lets talk about last night. Where did all you peeps come from? Really I dont know. You can tell me its ok. So last week Pride 0, Fall 1 won and this week they renamed themselves Pride 1, Fall 1. Ha! They have a team name that progressively changes with winning and losing! Tell me that is not so rad! Anywho, I guess next week it is going to have to be Pride 2, Fall 1because they won again! And at 90 pts!! Wha wha what? Nice job team that was an impressive show.

And making sure not to disappoint, we had The Diabetic Bears coming in second place this week. Just a bunch of dude what knows some stuff. These folks have been consistently supporting their drinking habit with lots and lots of Redwing gift cards. Great job again fellas. Keep up all that good work.

And...... coming back with a big ole vengeance is Wet Spot!!! Always the beautiful team with the ugly team name, these cats kept rhyming and stepped into the next cypher. I mean with that $10 gift card best believe somebody's paying the pied piper. Im looking for y'all to beat out the others one day and take first. Just remember theres no Mekhi Fifer.

Everyone else is awesome too. I just dont have time to write about 17 TEAMS!!!! New record (sans harry potter) for Redwing!!!!!
