When I’m not running quiz, I am usually reading about space exploration and geeking out about adventures in astronomy.  One day, when I have a pile of cash to spend, I want to spend my nights taking pictures of space…because space is pretty damn awesome.  I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know that if it involved something to do with astronomy, I wouldn’t be disappointed ;)

At home, I’m a mean cook so once in a while I might drop a kick ass recipe on the weekly blog.  I collect awesome video game covers and meme songs that occasionally make my playlists for quiz!  My quizzers are the best in town and I love them very much.  Except when one shouts out the answers, that will make me go Hulk in a second!

Today we learned:

  • January is named after the Roman god Janus.
  • The Big Bang Theory Theme Song is the best theme song.
  • Everyone’s a little bit racist according to Avenue Q.
  • Pundit is Sanskrit for “smart dude”.
  • If you watch Hannah Montana, your co-workers WILL rat you out to the world.  Lesson of the day: Don’t watch Hannah Montana and DON’T make jazz hands and spirit fingers to the theme song either…

Big grats to newbie team Winners!  Also, obligatory grats once again to our reigning champions the Drewshbags.  As always it’s a pleasure to serve as your humble quiz mistress.  Stay tuned net week for another Monday night of shenanigans here at the Crossroads!

Another great night at the Crossroads!  It was nice to see some new faces.

Tonight’s Round 4: Like Breeds Like reminded me of one of my many childhood pets a blonde cocker spaniel named Buffy.  She peed when she got excited.  She peed when she got scared.  She peed when she got in trouble, not to mention she wasn’t the brightest pup on the block.  Sometimes we would put sunglasses on her nub of a tail and let hilarity ensue.  She had the worst breath.  But she was a loyal, loving, sweet and playful friend that lived a good life to a ripe old age of 15.

Another great night at the Crossroads?  Check.  Seriously, even though tonight was light, 4/5 teams were newbies to the Crossroads tonight and I couldn’t ask for cooler people.   You guys were fun, witty, nice and generally not jerks.  I would love to see each and every one of you back for another night of shenanigans. For reals.

I think my favorite round this week would be Round 4: I'll Take My Eggs a la Cleveland because I was introduced to a dish I have never tried.  Its pounded, breaded friend chicken stuffed with a garlic butter filling and they call it Chicken Kiev.  *drools* It’s probably a weeks worth of weight watchers points, but I don’t give 2 shits.  I must have this dish! 

Grats to the Drewschbags once again for holding their first place title but watch out!  Random Douchery is on your tail coming in a comfortable second.
