While some are talented and beautiful enough to write an entire blog about bacon, I'ma kick this bitch off a little differenly. Let's talk about prosciutto wrapped asparagus & mozzarella. That's the snack I selected when I arrived at Playground last night and it was fucking phenomenal. I mean, it was fancy, on a bed of lettuce with some sort of delightful drizzle (dick joke). If y'all ever want to chill with your QM before quiz, I get there around 6:45to take advantage of the Recess specials that end at 7PM.

Here's something: apparently, I had underestimated the level of excitement some geeks have for being dominated by their Quizmaster. Last night, Ashley might have brought it to new heights with her reaction to winning the e-mail bonus. I gave away one of our newer GWD pints, featuring the “Obey Your Quizmaster” crest. If you heard her squeals of delight, you'd have thought Usher just licked her nipples and Ryan Gosling was sucking her toes.

So, has anyone ever tried to make their own spanakopita? Well, don't; not unless you have a steady hand, a huge amount of patience, and a million hours to layer the phyllo dough and oil and fucking crimp/fold/reaffirm it's self-esteem, etc. The first time I ever met my ex-ex-girlfriend's family, this was my task and for the record: I have the steady hand of an alcoholic, zero patience for even waiting in a drive-thru, let alone actually cooking, and I break expensive kitchen utensils that belong to other people I just met.

With the exception of Kid Rock making the cut, Round 2: Songs of the Season, was a sweet round about Summer songs. Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff's Summertime would have been a good one to throw in there, but I can't bitch because I've been lazy about writing rounds. BTW, fuck yes, Blood Red Summer by Coheed & Cambria was in mix. I saw them when I went back home for vacay and they are still amazeballs.

I think it's fly when girls stop by for the Summer...and my geeky guys too. Today, I'm riding on a unicorn and it looks like a 14 team high!!! Y'all might not realize it, but it makes me feel like Go Go Ninja Dinosaur (Youtube it! It's been one of my favorite things since I first discovered it my 3rd year of college) when we pack the house on a Monday night, especially during the Summer of Construction.

Andrew, thank you so much for taking team pictures for me. Dude, I knew you were tall but after reviewing the pics, I wondered if maybe you were standing on chairs?!
