I’m so proud of my Canyon’s Crown Quizzers! First of all, we reached 20 teams this week. That’s one week down, 2 to go before we get a scorekeeper onboard. Keep on spreading the word about how much fun we have at the Crown every Thursday. Also, it seems people are reading the blog and checking out the Facebook page. I had a whole bunch of people answer the Facebook question and the blog question for free beers and Halloween-related prizes.
I always get some entertainment out of reading the answer sheets I get. There are some really funny mistakes. But the most entertaining thing I got this week was the story of the movie Alien illustrated piece by piece on the answer sheets of I Bought The Blu-Ray And Prometheus Still Doesn’t Make Sense. Check out the pictures to see what I’m talking about.
So, what did we learn last night?
-Franklin Roosevelt did not run up or down San Juan Hill in the Spanish- American War. He would have rolled down the hill.
- Mao Tse Tung was never President of the U.S.
- Atlanta is not the capital city of Hell.
- James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, was not a prominent conservative who founded the National Review.
- Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was not technically a romantic comedy.
So that’s it for this week. Make sure you go to the Facebook page and tag yourselves in the pictures. It helps us spread the word, and gets us closer to having a scorekeeper. Here’s the page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Geeks-Who-Drink-Pub-Quiz-At-Canyons-Crown/483388135009881 And here’s your blog question for a free beer next week. What movie does this quote come from: “Do you have to open graves to find girls to fall in love with?” Cheers!
