Yesterday I tried to teach myself how to fix a cable that my neighbor sliced working on the sprinklers.  I still did not learn as much as I did my first night hosting Geeks Who Drink.Probably because Geeks Who Drink was far more successful and a whole lot more fun.

It was pretty clear the East Coast Grifters were going down after they missed questions in the first round about New York. They didn't go down too far though, as Where The Fleet Goes, We Have Been, Wooden Ships and Iron Men consisted of only one man. One very, very smart man, who came in a very close third to the Grifters, and the first place winners, Funky See, Funky Do. The good news is, every one is going to heaven, as they all know their bible stories, really, really well.

On a personal note, there is nothing as awesome as being told you will get your feet wet, and then jumping in over your head. Thank goodness for the fleet, who came up to show me his Navy medal and passed me a note telling me what I did wrong. After that, it was smooth sailing. Yep, that just happened. Round three on was the bestest, smartest Geeks Who Drink ever. I'm sure of it.

Nothing like kicking off the night with a little Duh! round, am I right? It is our purest form of face-palming fun when you hear the answers. Was a good thing to start out this way, as making a cake was much harder than expected in the audio round. Something about an obscure Tool song written in German was a little too much for most teams. 

But, we really separated the casual quizzer from the heavy user in Coffee and Pot. I'm not saying someone on Leaders past, present, and future has ever partaken in the substance, but they sure did know everything there is to know about... coffee.

Tonight our team is sponsored by the good folks at Beaver Liquors! Beaver Liquors - we deliver had a crushing dominance in round seven, identifying SNL players and their impersonations. But it wasn't quite enough to take down Show Marsha Your Tits. 

It was a night of lessons at The VFW. We learned about ridiculous sports celebrations, that you can be a rockstar in only three chords, and what that Carly Rae Jepson song is saying.

Also, that stopping a Say When clue after "Smallville" can be disastrous. 

But it was a great night, and we had some great competition. Just like their team-name, Boom! Any ship can be a minesweeper... once must have found the explosive device to help them bomb a few critical rounds. Get me off this boat just edged out Tonight, our team is sponsored by the fine folks at KY Jelly! No foreplay today? That's okay! K-Y Jelly! But the dominance came, once again, from Pork Chop Sandwiches.
