Tonight’s quiz might as well have read like a long “that’s what she said” joke. Everything from “hard wood” to “Who’s the man?” had them giggling like a bunch of teenage girls! Seriously. Everyone was a snarky, teenage comedian at Tony’s.

“Where’s the glockenspiel in this one? I don’t hear any glockenspiel.”

“That says ‘To Kill a Mocking Bird!’”

Yes, the crowd was up for giving big, bad mother Quiz Mistress a hard time tonight over each question and my little chickadees were all in snarky, fighting form, right down to 8^th Place naming their team as such because “well, that seems to be the place we always get.” Congrats on moving to 4^th this week – they promise that’s what their name will change to next week. Then there was Return of the Balls! Who finished well out of bar tab contention – their name used to be something, much more….well, raunchy, but, according to them, sometimes “you just have to be gentle with the balls.” Oh jeez.

But perhaps the most entertaining part of the night – from a purely spectator point of view – was the round about Geeks and Dancing. At the announcement of the round, lots of cheers…that eventually faded to groans. Put a little theme from “Flashdance” in between, however, and you have pure, Geek magic. I have never seen so much expressive, interpretive dance with 10-15 seconds between each question. It was magical – I was mesmerized by what I was seeing and sorry, so distracted that I couldn’t even document its’ rare beauty. (Sigh…)

But it came down to the very end – even with two teams who played their jokers earlier, that new weekly favorite Sex Pile was able to stay on top (that's what she said) and edge out Task Force: Bitch Mob by one, measly point. One point. At least they have a good, adult humor about the whole thing as you’ll see in the picture.
