So let's take a minute to talk about food. I love food. I try food. I eat the hell out of food on a regular basis. There is very little "food" that I won't try, just to see if I like it and, once I find that I DO like it, I will continue to eat the hell out of it. Now, if I find that I DON'T like a food, I may keep trying this particular food JUST TO MAKE SURE that I, in fact, do NOT like it. One of the foods that falls into the unfortunate category of "just not for me" is the French staple crépes. Sure, the name is super fun because you can pretend to be all lowbrow and shit and mispronounce the hell out of it "hey, bring me more of them there creepy pancakes" you might say, then you'd chuckle and the super french waiter (or total poseur French waiter) will give you a look of condescending disapproval before storming off to the kitchen to retrieve your creepy pancakes. Anyway, that's neither here nor there, what I was talking about was the fact that, despite my best efforts, I really don't enjoy crépes. It's not like they're gross, lord knows they're not. A good crépe actually tastes very very good, it's just…I dunno, you have a boxty and that shit is gold. you have a flapjack and…OK, I really don't know what I'm getting at except, despite all the weird, ethic stuff I will eat, don't expect me to invite any of you out for crépes…like ever. It just ain't gonna happen…

Shit, where was I? OH, RIGHT! QUIZ!

So I filled in for QM Asian Sensation (Jessica) at Tony's in Colorado Springs on Tuesday. I love Tony's. Tony's is a BAR. it's not a restaurant with a bar, or a lounge with a bar or some other thing with a bar, TONY'S IS A GODDAMN BAR. This is the kind of place where anything can happen and usually does which is why it's so much fun to host quiz there. Case in point, we had eleven big teams competing for the power and the glory on Tuesday, some of which knew a good bit about current events, some of which knew a shit-ton about young adult book series', SOME OF WHICH knew just enough about frats and sororities…Look, it was a fun night, ok? And the staff at Tony's rocks. And…And…I HAD CURDS! And the battle for the top 3 spots was pretty feverish…So much so, that we had to have the worst danceoff ever to settle a second place tie. When all the dust settled, The Midnight Crepists ended up in 3rd, Threve! managed second and, due to their all-around ass-kicking tendencies, Firebreathing Seahorse powered their way to the champeenship.

As always, big thanks to everyone who came out to show off their big brain on Tuesday. You know what would be even MORE fun? If you kids came back again NEXT Tuesday! And the Tuesday after that, and the Tuesday after THAT and…Well, you get the idea. Just keep coming back…We'll see ya then…
