Now that Jamey is in Europe running from the Feds (I believe you're innocent, don't worry), I'm the new quizmaster at Christians Tailgate in the Heights. At least for the next few weeks, until he gets caught or comes back to the States. Whatever comes first. What a night to host my first quiz! I had a great time, and I hope all you guys did too. What did we learn from this quiz? Well, lets review.

 

The theme of this quiz was SEX!! My favorite. Round 1 was Foreplay. Of course. Grolar Bears, Victory Steeds, and the two man team of Thunder Buddies for Life held down first place with 7 points apiece. Well done.

 

Round 2 was the famous audio round. What did we learn from this round? Almost everyone confused The Tony Rich Project for Babyface. We had a little Whitney Houston (RIP) mixed in, and some Quad City DJs. it was like my 8th grade dance all over again! Don't Know Jack jokered this round and held their own with Grolar Bears and Anderson's Pooper.

 

Round 3... wow. I had no idea how many people were so well versed on their Winnie the Pooh knowledge. There were alot of 8's this round. Very impressive. My favorite Winnie the Pooh character is, of course, the Honeybadger. Cause the honeybadger just don't give a fuck! The only ones who didn't score highly this round was Jeremy Lin Woks the Wok. Lin-sanity!

 

Round 4 was titled Sex. The round we've all been waiting for. We had the misfortunate to learn about the owner of the World's Largest Penis- Mr. Jonah Falcon. How big is this dude's schlong? 13.5 inches!! Very impressive Jonah. Too bad very few people had any idea how big you were. Maybe you should show it off more. This round was won by Grolar Bears! You guys rock, even if you were all wearing pink shirts. 

 

Round 5 was the visual round... Zombie Movies. This was a very difficult visual round. As expected, almost everyone got 28 Days Later correct. That was about it.. This was a very low scoring round. I Pulled a Rabbit Out of Magic Mike's Ass dominated this round with 5. Way to go fellas. They were actually on their way to see a midnight showing of Magic Mike as soon as the quiz ended. I'm sure they enjoyed it. Who wouldn't enjoy seeing Matthew McCoughnay (sp? I don't feel like googling him) shirtless??!

 

Round 6... the inevitable clean-up... I had to do my best Alex Trebek and use an accent on "Monseiur Net"... I think most people got this right when they guessed Mr. Clean. And most of you guys mixed up TNT with A&E. Benjamin Bratt would be very dissapointed in you.

 

Round 7 is my favorite round.. the visual movie round! We got to watch 8 clips of movies on the big screen, and you had to guess the name of the movie by the reaction of the characters. I have never even heard of the movie Quick Change, and I don't think most of you guys did either. This was a very high scoring round, with most teams getting at least 6 points. Real Men of Genius held the lead with 7 points. 

 

Finally.. Round 8. General Knowledge. If you haven't used your joker yet, now was the time to do it. We live in Houston, and NO ONE got all 4 Beyonce albums correct. Whats wrong with you guys? Way to represent H-Town. You've dissapointed me and the entire Knowles family. 

 

Grolar Bears finished in first place with 76 points. And they were all wearing matching shirts! I guess that's the secret to winning. Anderson Pooper came out of the closet to claim 2nd place with a score of 68. I Pulled a Rabbit out of Magic Mikes Ass had to hurry up and make their movie and finished in 3rd place with 62 points. All in all it was a great night. I'd like to thank all the teams who showed up and who stuck it out with me. How fitting that the theme of the quiz was sex, cause I popped my quizmaster cherry last night! And I went 2 hours... that's pretty impressive. See you guys next Thursday at 8pm!
