Hello!

I started playing quiz with GWD at the Maple Leaf Pub. I heard they were in search of quizmasters and decided to audition. I am quite the social butterfly. so I figured: meet new people, free booze, and quiz. What more could a girl ask for?

By day, I am a middle school Industrial Technology Teacher- yes 12-14 year olds and power tools. I'm an Aggie (WHOOP!), a dog lover, and a scorpio. My favorite color is purple and one day I hope to venture to Costa Rica, Italy, and Australia. That's me in a nutshell.

Tonight was an interesting night. We had a lot of tough rounds and some of the scores reflect this. We also had all 11 teams play all 8 rounds.

R1 - Truth & Lies - I am the vine and you are not the fruit. Also, listen for your clue words, if I say not True Value, I'm probably looking for something similar, not Tinactin but I'm glad so many of you are aware of Madden's Athlete's foot.

R2 - Good songs, Better songs, Best Songs - A tough audio round! Round high was 13 but after that the highest wasmostly 8's.

R3 - The Book actually wasn't much better - This was a speed round and you either knew your Crichton or you didn't. Most given wrong answer: Outbreak and Jurassic Park 3. At least you got the Jurassic Parks...

R4 - What the Fuck is Grandma Talking About? 90s Edition - So this was my poor, poor attempt at sounding Jewish. I was going for semi New Yorker but apparently I sounded Canadian. Oh and I said HORROR not WHORES! I do not recommend mixing children and whores. Hmmm, at least this round gave you some good convo topics as I heard the chatter going on around about these nostalgic items. This Changes Everything got 8/8!

R5 - Age is Just a Number - This visual round was tough in that if you got one wrong, it could potentially throw off the rest of your numbers. I don't think I've ever hosted a round with that many zeroes. No bueno por ca ca!

R6 - Wet Dreams - Get your mind out of the gutter; this was a round on swimming, mostly in recent Olympic news.

R7 - We Party Harder than ICP - Movie clips of parties. Here we go! A fairly high scoring round with Squeeze me, There's Cheese Inside getting all 8 correct.

R8 - Random Knowledge - We don't know cattle, we know TLC, Smokey not Yogi, USSR is now Russia (again) and some men in drag. That about sums it up.

I'm gonna end this blog by saying I'm super jealous that I could not win the bonus email prize because I really like those socks!!!

Thanks for coming out, see y'all next Tuesday! :)
