Tuesday Nights 8 PM at The Ram-Boise 709 E Park Blvd Boise, Idaho Monday Nights 8 PM @ Brewforia 		Jeffrey (The Comedy Freek)

Jeffrey, a graduate of Theater Arts from San Jose State University, moved from Los Angeles to Boise. In Los Angeles, Jeff performed Stand-up comedy at all the major clubs including The Improv chain and Ha-Ha Cafe. He moved to Boise just two weeks after the local comedy club closed. Looking for a performance outlet, and because he was driving his family insane, he signed up for Geek Who Drink. Jeff is a movie geek who is always quoting lines, which also drives his family insane. Jeff is always ready with a bad impersonation and a funny story.

Hey Party People,

I wasn't on my best tonight. Don't know if it was the heat or the fact that I was drinking on an empty stomach. This, plus my lack of sleep for the past four days. It's not cause my kids are out of town and the wife and I have the whole house to ourselves. I wish that was the case. It's my damn dog. She keeps barking in the middle of the night to go outside. About every four hours. For those of you who have/had kids, you know what a drag it is to get up, in the middle of the night, often. Need less to say, my dog has all the spunk and I'm the one dragging ass in the driveway.

Add to the fact that a gentleman in a green shirt was a big loud mouth. Not shouting out the answers but telling his team loud enough so that some people could hear. After several repeat reminders to quiet him, he started to boast about his answers, which I took as a breaker to rule number 2. Don't fuck with the Quizmaster. Your team didn't get a zero but you did lose your joker, so, if your points don't add up that's the reason.

The one I'll give the green shirt man is that due to my tiredness, I read round three wrong. That round was all over the place and I'll be a man and admit that I screwed the pooch on that one. Tired plus beer does not make me a great reader. My bad.

Besides all this, we packed Brewforia again. Four tables when I arrived to 13 teams by 8 PM. Plus several teams on the patio in the heat. Great team names tonight too.

Our quiz had a lot to do with food, which seemed right up our quizzers alley. From Appetizers to Entrees to deserts. No, I didn't spell that wrong, we did a round on deserts. That's the geeks sense of humor.

In the end, we had a tie for third place, leading to a new tiebreaker. TOP 10. The two teams, Mama's Lil Helpers and Mash of the Titans, had to write down ten answers to the category: Slang Terms for Penis. First team with ten acceptable answers or the most acceptable answers in a minute and a half would win. Both teams ended up with 9 answers but Mama's Lil Helpers got their answers in first giving them third place. Second place went to 5 Mile High Club and first place, with 77 points, went to Sunburned Private Parts. It was brought to my attention that due to the fact they were on the patio, that they must have been cheating. I disregarded this as they were previous winners from a few weeks ago when they played indoors. Then, it was brought to my attention that they had 7 players at the table. Unfortunately, this was a case of to little to late. My hands where tied as I had already announced the winners and taken photos. I promise you, I'll pull my head out of my ass and be more on top of things in the future.

Special thanks to Meh for being first time players. I hope to see your team again and to the team that named themselves You Sir, Are A Mouthful. I take that as a compliment.
