Retail slave by day, I play the role of smart-ass, quiz host in the evening. Lording my intelligence over the quiz peons gives me the strength I need to get through my days. This is about as close as I will get to utilizing my Theatre degree so I'm going to take advantage of this. 

After a couple weeks of ten or more teams, last night at the Highliner felt a little like a hangover. Regardless, we still rocked out with new and regular teams and learned quite a bit about holes. We learned about famous composers, argued about the merits of certain, awful science fiction movies starring the dude from Jurassic Park and ultimately made our 6th grade social studies teacher furious with our answers about the Danube river.

Hall of Shame

  • Moving Turtles and Two Gals and a Hole - For both putting Canada on your Danube river lists. I agree, Canada sucks though.
  • Bacon Faces - For a imaging a river that somehow touches Kuwait, Turkey, Germany and Italy while missing everything in between.
  • Two Gals and a Hole - The Chocolate Starfish is the point of no return on a different kind of Black Hole.

At the end of the night, Somebody Please Rape Todd Akin stole the show for their second win in as many nights. A deserving second place went to long time regulars Prince Harry’s Miscue. The top two teams had topical names thus reminding us that paying attention to the world around you will probably help you win free booze on occasion.
