On an unseasonably warm autumn evening, we had a lovely quiz about fifteen hours ago.  Oh, it was ever so splendid. We talked politics, had a foreign language audio round that turned out harder than I thought it would be, and then an experimental new round called “simple questions” full of cryptic, short queries.  It was deliberately obtuse, but you guys got it a couple of rounds in.  The visual round was easy, every team aced it.  And how about that Before and After for round six?  Good one, eh?

A Fedo-less Midnight Society found themselves pitted against the ever-dangerous Herman’s Hermits, the bar team, tonight called The Third Party Candidates, and promising newcomers Disco Unlimited. It was a tight game all night.  In the end, the Third Party Candidates won, giving their gift card to second place Herman’s Hermits.  Disco and the Society went to a quick tiebreaker round to determine who’d take third (and thereby the 2^nd place prize), and Disco Unlimited walked away with it.  Taking home a gift card on their first quiz?  Not bad.

As I announced, we’ll be taking a one week hiatus for Halloween, and will return on November 7^th.  Don’t miss it!
