Quiz as an 11 on a scale of 10 tonight. Our highest score I've ever seen came in tonight from an on-and-off regular 'Win or Lose, We're Drinking!' with an 86! That was over 20 points ahead of our 2^nd place team. Talk about coming, taking no prisoners and flat out dominating just about the entire quiz. I tip my hat to you gentlemen, for you showed us what is possible.

This week as also the first week we started using our new beer tokens. The love for those beer tokens was so intense we had a team wrestle for them. They are pretty awesome but I think the e-mail bonus question won by Allison was even better, Nunzilla! You too could have had Nunzilla had you signed up for the e-mail list. Make sure you do that for next week.

And to top it all off we had a birthday girl in the crowd. Quite the birthday to have; you share your birthday with Madonna and it was also the 35^th anniversary of Elvis' death.

Round 1 – Broken News
Average Score: 5.63; Aced by The Fam, RamRod, Feckless, It's Mike, Not Michael and Bond Girl Bday

While there was no Space Shuttle named 'Explorer' plenty of Ford Explorers have exploded, earning them the nickname 'exploder.' Impressive showing though, give teams with a perfect score? UNPOSSIBLE!

Round 2 – AUDIO Singing About The Weather (16 points)
Average Score: 9.5; Aced (and jokered) by Win or Lose, We're Drinking!
Not gonna lie, I had no clue Patrick Swayze had that illustrious of a singing career to end up in a GWD quiz.

Round 3 – Eight Questions, Nine Teeth
Average Score: 4.36; High score of 7 by Old Zirins
For those of you who are curious, as of 2011, the average ACT score for Colorado is 20.7. Massachusetts had the highest with a 24.2.

Round 4 – My Wallet Feels Exploited
Average Score: 4.27; Aced by Win or Lose, We're Drinking
Speaking of being exploited, I'm writing this blog while sitting to probably the most ignorant individual I've ever heard. And I quote, “the Indians (native americans) have it easy and are stealing money from everyday American's with their casinos.” Just...wow.

Round 5 – VISUAL Brave The Elements
Average Score: 5.36; Aced by Giraffe Necks, It's Mike, Not Michael and Golden Receivers.
As I'm walking around handing out visual rounds I had a team who has never played quiz before grab it, fill out it out, and ace it. Talk about paying attention in school, pretty intense. But I was more impressed with the amount of teams that aced it, some smart people at quiz this week!

Round 6 – Pissing On The Third Rail
Average Score: 3.72; High score of 7 by Win or Lose, We're Drinking!
It's no surprise that Giraffe Necks got a 2 on this round, good job Brandon. At this point, Win or Lose, We're Drinking! Was on a roll and pretty much unstoppable.

Round 7 – AUDIO Musicals
Average Score: 5.36; Aced by Win or Lose, We're Drinking! Old Zirins and Dutch Rudders
We actually had a team miss Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory shockingly enough. I think I was more impressed that a team of all guys knew 'Hair' as one of the answers.

Round 8 – Random Knowledge (16 points)
Average Score: 7.36; High score of 13 by Win or Lose, We're Drinking!
As I'm tripping up on pronouncing 'Dostoyevsky,' I decided to see if our heckler of the night could do any better. I mean, he has an English accent and Americans can't pronounce for shit right? Well, after two attempts to pronounce the name and the entire place letting out one giant 'huh?' I think it's safe to say it wasn't pronounced any better. I do applaud the effort though!
