A lover of B-movies, beer, Dungeons & Dragons and spreadable foods, Elicia Sanchez is a Quizmaster, stand-up comedian, video store employee and a card-holding member of the both the Elvira Mistress of the Dark and Iron Maiden fan clubs.  She has been balancing meager paychecks between comic books and happy hour while entertaining and/or weirding out audiences since 2010 in the Seattle area and surrounding cities. 

Besides being a member of the elite Geeks Who Drink Quizmastering guild, she is also a member of the local comedy troupe Children of the Atom and writes a blog and hosts a weekly podcast about B-movies both entitled, The Enematic Cinematic.  Her dislikes include: communicable diseases, werewolves and stuffed animals with arms and legs.

It’s been a long week my geeks, so I can say I couldn’t have been happier to spend another serious Sunday of shots and word mispronunciation with you guys.  Sure we only had three teams, but when you do the math on that, everyone comes out a winner.  Some gross cheese facts, liquor lessons and a Kill Bill quote later, we were all letting the heat of the competition and the heat of the not so well ventilated bar get to us.  Or at least you guys did.  I had a fan onstage.

With three teams neck and neck aspiring not for just the mere top 3 (since that was a given), but that oh so coveted by somebody first place spot, team 33 1/3 proved they can predict the future taking 3rd place, team SEEMS LIKE CARMEN’S OKAY AFTER ALL may have only taken 2nd, but clearly worked out their personal issues and those unstoppable, unbeatable veterans of victory, team TRIVIASAURUS REX took the night once again and came out on top!

Not only did we leave this quiz slightly sweaty and a little drunk, but we all learned, thanks to quizzer Cody, that my favorite liquor is Crown Royal!  That guess was good enough to earn him a free drink on me, but not with Crown.  Some of us have rent to pay.
