Well hello, my Little Weirdoes!

Allow me to regale you with a story from my past…

… about four score and seven years ago, I was an extra in a Robert Rodriguez movie where they shot a football game at night over the course of three late nights. I, of course, ended up being cast as the school mascot (anybody surprised?). This school mascot costume was huge, hot and smelled like butt death. It was only after the fact that I learned I wasn’t the first one to wear it, and the next time it would be washed would be the first time.

I wore this mascot costume 10 hours a night for the entire weekend. No breaks. Never took it off. And I sweated off, I shit you not, 23 pounds. I lost 23 pounds. In. THREE. DAYS. And with that said, I felt like I put in more sweat equity tonight at Weirdo’s than I did on that entire shoot. Was it because we had a near record turnout? Was it because they took my little fan away? Was it because I am woefully out of shape? The answer, my friends, is totes. Totes m’gotes.

And even though I felt like I needed an IV after quiz tonight, do I regret it? Hell to the no! I love putting on a good show for you guys! And I love a parade! But that’s beside the point.

I’m also excited that we got to tackle week three of my Bonus Booze experiment! For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, there comes a time in every quiz when you know you’re in contention or you’re way the hell out and have nothing to play for. Pride, you say? Pride’s for suckers. You want glory… and cash. Preferably cash. Well, that’s just what I give my Little Weirdoes. Between rounds seven and eight, we have a one winner-take-all bonus quiz to win a $10 (approximate value) gift card. So even if you’re 40 points behind first with one round to go, you could still win a prize equal to second place. Not bad, right?

Now here’s the weird quirk. Three weeks in, the team that has won the Bonus Booze competition, has also won first place. I’ll swear on a stack of Bibles that I’m not rigging this contest. And for what it’s worth, it’s been three different teams to take first plus the bonus since we started. So shut yer face, conspiracy nuts! I don’t wanna hear it!

This week, our former Dingoes, now named Goldielocks Was Baby Bear's Tyler Durden, took home first plus the bonus. Their closest rival was I’m So Good at Lightning Rounds! who returned to the money for the first time in ages. Congrats to both of you, and thanks to everyone for coming out tonight! As you can see, we can fill up pretty quick sometimes, so show up early if you want to play next time!
