Friends call me Michael Bay because I love action and make a lot of sound effects with my mouth.

Well, nobody calls me that, really. But they should for the above reasons.

I host karaoke on Tuesday nights, and I'm afraid of porcelain dolls! I know, I know, those two things probably didn't belong in the same sentence.

Whoa. Maybe it was the booze or the pint of blood I donated pre-quiz, but by the time this little Quizmaster left the Dubliner last night, she was tanked.

I missed y'all Wednesday Quizzers on the 4th of July! I filled the hole in my heart with McDonald's and the Sherlock Holmes sequel, which was probably very good; I am not sure because I fell asleep immediately.

Anyway, I'm glad you came back, and in full force-- The Dub was packed! Just ask team This Bar Needs More Chairs. I bet they'd tell you about it. There were laughs, tears, adoration for the Silver Fox (Anderson Cooper), and Harrison Ford getting his yell on. 

I also had a trainee, Patrick, who works a dayjob acting like a kid or something (he's actually an instructor at the Seattle Children's Theatre, which is a lot more prestigious than the way I made it seem just then. I'm sorry I tried to trick you). Enjoy being a Quizmaster, Patrick! I hope your quizzers get you Jell-o shots, too.

Winning team Coffee is for Closers had a bunch of smart members return and keep kicking ass. It's pretty similar to when there are only two of them and they kick ass, but they cheer more in a larger group. Could more friends equal more happiness? I'll have to get some and check it out.

In the meantime, hand me another Jell-o shot!
