This is the bio that never ends...

I always get a little bummed when the Sounders play a home game on Wednesday. In part because I usually wind up having to turn down offers to go to the game, but mostly because I know several of our regular players and teams won't be making it out for quiz. Suffice it to say, last night was quite the pleasant surprise when the bar was still packed at 9 and a number of teams brought their A Game regardless. Must be that there's a reverse correlation between experts on rap rounds and those who don the rave green and head down to the pitch.

After the excitement of the latest Rock Bottom tapping event died down we dove into the night's questions, covering off on such excitement as N.W.AOL, crazy Polish movie posters, fighting robots, Brendan's ego and what countries watch the most porn. A wide rift between the top and bottom teams opened up after a harder-than-usual Round 2 saw only 4 teams break into double digits, and only one of them double up with the joker. But as we entered into the stretch run, it was still a tight race behind Screw the Jew, Bring Back the Ginger, who ran away with the night to a clean victory and $50 to Rock Bottom.

The Round 8 Random Knowledge round proved the ultimate decider, as it does most weeks, and saw 9 teams within a few points of each other for the 2nd and 3rd place prizes. When the dust settled, it was The Half-Asses scoring a not-at-all-half-assed jokered 13 to secure the $25 Rock Bottom gift card for second place, and The One Percent narrowly slipping past To Friend a Predator to claim third place and the Rock Bottom swag by a meager one point.
