Folks around these parts know me by a lot of names. Having grown up in Seattle I went by Cookie during my time playing baseball. Also had the nickname Nature Boy at summer camp, and in high school Spanish class I was Diablo. Along with my many names come many talents. I was the state pickleball champion two years in a row (2005-2006) and have a pretty mean drinking arm when it comes to bar games. Try your luck and challenge me to some pool if you feel lucky. Am a passionate world traveler with plenty of plans to keep moving along in the future. Currently enjoying life and laying it all on the line Monday night at the Blue Star Cafe & Pub.

 

 

 

 

Those who joined us tonight must have been from the team of superheroes known as The Premature Answers Brigade from their actions in round 3. Only two teams were correct after shouting for the quizmaster to stop with the hints. Some stop teams shouted after only the year was given and none of these early grabbers saw a right answer written on their sheet of paper. Needless to say for many of these teams the visual round was their saving grace. A staggering number of individuals seem to have intimate knowledge of these men’s former golden bodies. To those, I suggest adding a little bit of Weather Girls to your drive mix. It should spice up the ride through traffic.

 

As is common practice at all Blue Star Pub Quiz the scores for top prizes were neck and neck with three teams only a point off from third place. For those teams, I have one bit of advice: study, study, study, and sign up for the email question. Not only could you win prizes like tonight’s super cool pirate pencil head tops, but you also get hints about the upcoming themes. Sounds like a win-win to me and a great way to earn a few extra points in the future.

 

Tonight was once again dominated by returning regular teams. Scientology ate my baby was the one above the rest having stolen third place away from three teams. One point above 3rd place we see Supply and Command who took a supremely commanding leap in the stands after their 30 point round 8. Nice job! But even that wasn’t enough to take on Dr. Spaceman who racked up a grand total of 28 points on audio, two perfect rounds, and the highest for round 3 with 5 points. To them I say congrats. You guys are very close to establishing a Dr. Spaceman dynasty.


A special thanks goes out to Emilee P for being pretty much amazing. She is one rad gal who we are all lucky enough to have.
