Holy crowded neighborhood pub, Batman!  We had 17 teams, standing room only, and one of the liveliest quiz nights in recent memory.  Oh, and your heroic Quizmaster extraordinaire quizzed the whole night while coughing up a lung the entire time.  Am I fishing for sympathy compliments?  You bet I am, but tonight I entered the realm of “Legendary”, and I’ve been told that heroes get remembered, but legends never die. 

The action was back and forth all night, with Jesus skipped AA and Titty sprinkles and Babe trading 1^st and second place at every scoring break until the dust had settled, and Titty sprinkles had pulled out the victory.  I guess they knew more about Britpop frontmen than Jesus skipped AA.  In third place, we had the lovable I came on Eileen in honor of one of our rounds.  Awwww, I’ll bet Eileen’s never felt so much like a glazed donut.

For the internet bonus prize, I gave away the coveted Geeks Who Drink Pint Glass to the lovably offensive Tess from Jesus skipped AA.  I guess she can fill it with apple juice or soda pop or whatever the kids are drinking nowadays.  Congrats, Tess!

Most unsettling team name of the night goes to Clown babies because they haunt my nightmares right alongside Gangnam Style.  In fact, the Clown babies are dancing the Gangnam style in my nightmares, making them doubly terrifying.

Next week, I’ll hopefully not be dead, because that would suck.  Also, I wouldn’t get to hose the quiz, so wish me a quick recovery, quizling land!  Until then, don’t let the clown babies dance in your head!
