It was another calamity-filled low-key Saturday night at the Royal Hilltop.  We learned that we have a lot left to learn about limes.  Holy cats, people.  With the lime consumption the way it is in tequila-drinking countries, you’d think you’d know more about that little green
friend that helps make you through the pain and into the good times.

Cover songs are awesome, even when the original song is from a Swede.  ‘Nuff said.

It was also a happy birthday for Jackie, who will be leaving shortly to plunge into the void of Arkansas, where there’s nothing to do except pray for Geeks Who Drink to come to a local bar.

99 problems but a quiz ain’t one took an early lead and never looked back.  Finishing in first place and all the glory, none of the holes.

Kraftwerk-in’ it finished in second place, with some of the glory and some of the holes.

and The Midnight Society finished in third place, with some of the glory and most of the
holes.

For the internet bonus prize, I gave away the Geeks Who Drink Bottle Opener to Dee.  Congrats, Dee!

That’s right, the most legendary of the legendaries made an appearance…on our quiz.  Ric “Nature Boy” Flair with his trademark “WOOOO!” was an answer to one of our questions, and our quizlings couldn’t have been happier.

We had horseheads stop by, we had Indiana Jones, and we had 15 teams.  It was that kind of night. 

It was also a night where all but 4 teams used their joker by the second round.  Apparently, the audio round had too much Cher and the room couldn’t contain itself.

Fuck Mountain grabbed first place early on and didn’t let go. 

Jesus skipped AA  threatened for first place contention, but ultimately ended up in second place.

Titty sprinkles came from out of nowhere to collect third place.  From obscurity to the winner’s circle, it was a night of miracles.

BJ walked away with the internet bonus prize, the Classic Disguise and even modeled the
disguise for the camera.

That was it!  Next time, I’ll pull a rabbit out of my hat.   And by “rabbit”, I mean cocaine. 
And by “hat”, I mean anus.  See you then!

It was a night of presidents at the Royal Hilltop, and a night of lady rockers.  Those who knew their American and rock histories wound up on top.

Early on, the room overcame an obnoxiously drunk d-bag at the bar who couldn’t shut up if he had a vagina in his mouth.  After he was triumphantly vanquished, the quiz commenced in peace…until he decided to return to the bar.  Once again, we had to organize and banish the drunken jerkweed back to the garden from whence he came.

Amidst all the loud, out-of-context yelling, we had three (count ‘em, three) rounds tonight worth 16 points, and the teams took advantage of them in different ways.  However, all
three of the top finishers used their joker on round three, the round on female rockers.  Perfectly sharp, Chick & a dick, and  Darth motherfucker can all claim Blondie helped them long after her career’s sorrow-filled demise.

I gave away the She’s a tasty dish commemorative plate to Jeff for the internet bonus prize.  Now you and your “roommate” can set your dirty spoons on a hot little dish.  Rawr!
