That was the theme of round seven, in which I played clips of eight RDJ movies and the quizzers had to guess the name of the movie. I challenge you to watch one of his performances and not have a good fucking time. One quizzer agreed with this sentiment so much that he demanded to know why Kiss Kiss Bang Bang wasn’t included in the round. I didn’t have an answer, but wondered the same thing. If you haven’t seen it, you don’t know what you’re missing. Highly recommended. Four stars. Three thumbs up. 83% Rotten Tomatoes score. I’m so excited about RDJ, I just shit my pants. Terrific!

Thanks to all the teams for spending their Saturday with us. The quiz may have left most battered and bruised, but two finished the night relatively unscathed. No Penetration Without Proper Training finished in the top spot for what seems like the zillionth time. In second place, there was a band of newcomers known as AFU.

Here’s some stuff about last night:

The first round had the theme of Comics & Cons. Benjamin Franklin popularized the “Pros and Cons” decision making method. He did this when he wasn’t inventing stuff or trolling for French whores. Look it up, it’s history.

Most of the quizzers didn’t do so well during the Say When round. I named IMDb keywords and they had to name the movie based on the clues given. Listen, I like to think that we are friends and that I can tell you guys things, so… here goes: You’re bad at this. Stop trying.

Phew! That makes me feel so much better!

The fourth round was about weather control. The UN actually ratified a resolution prohibiting the military use of weather control. Because the armed forces is filled with mad scientists, apparently.

And in round eight, it was learned that Anna Kournikova, Michelangelo, ILOVEYOU, and Melissa were all forms of computer viruses. Basically the same type of thing that brought down the alien mother ship in Independence Day. No big deal.
