Between the young age where you begin watching movies to the time you realize Santa isn't real and begin questioning everything you thought about life - from astral projections and the quantum mechanics of time travel to the likelihood that a bunch of mutant ninjas would really be seen with a white rapper in a shady warehouse - Hollywood magic is real. It exists and manifests itself in your young mind. Everything you see on that screen is a possibility, be it comical, fantastic, or downright horrifying. But of course, the jadedness and cynicism that follows tears down those Hollywood lies. You accept that those images are not real. You become a film snob.
Which is why I have to call "bullshit" on the Hollywood trope of father's talking to their sons about masturbation. Mine certainly did not. And I know of no friends whose fathers gave 'em that talk. If they did, my friends aren't telling. Which means it must have been an emotionally scarring conversation, complete with hand gestures and dads referencing their spank bank holdings. Fathers, just let your sons figure it out on their own. Unless they stick their dicks into the swimming pool suction fitting. Then your kid is stupid, and there is nothing you can do about that. Tough shit, I guess.
As I mentioned last night, I created a new Facebook page for our Geeks Who Drink quiz at Bumsted's. Make sure you "Like" it: www.facebook.com/GeeksWhoDrinkAtBumsteds
And here's the Bumsted's page, do the same: www.facebook.com/pages/Bumsteds/110113160836
Remember, the Geeks Who Drink site is your first stop for the quiz recap. On the GWD at Bumsted's page, I'll be uploading higher res photos (so tag yourselves) along with opportunities for more free drinks and more quiz related wackiness. Now spread the link among your friends like a batch of pinworms!
