    Turning one year older starts to be something you don't look forward to as much once you hit 30. The celebrations stop there. Last year, I spent my birthday partying in Vegas...I think. The pictures would suggest that I did. From the looks of things, I had a damn good time! I also had a few of those moments like at the end of The Hangover when they all look at the camera and go "Oh dear Lord!" This year...not so much. I remembered everything and still got to be around some of my favorite drinkers. This year, I was playing Quizmaster. This year, I still had fun. This year, could be the best year yet. I don't know where the rest of this year will take me, but because of my Casey's GWD family, it been and adventure every week and I appreciate all of you sexy bitches. Now, if one of you could have gotten the attenion of the girl in the purple from last night and had her sit with me, that would have been nice, but beyond that, you guys are awesome!

It was bound to happen. Two teams. Same name. Oh boy.  Ro-sham-bo? Flip a coin? Enter the Octagon? Fight to the death???? Nope. “We’ll just change ours.” Calling it like it is, Someone Stole our Name stole the best name award. They also caused another first for me. A first place tie with Team Sploosh… who did not win the best team name award. However, they couldn’t quite get the tie breaker and lost to Team Sploosh. Now bad for a team of two, huh?

Next week will be one for the books so please come down and let’s have some fun! It will be my birthday and I always have fun on my birthday. Join me, won’t you? I promise comedy, laughter and wit, but only if you show up. Yes you. YOU! You all make doing this so fun and easy and keep me coming back every week…also the booze and knowing the answers help, but there’s you too.

On the day when the battery in my watch decided to go out at 7:53 earlier that morning, I decided to use IT, instead of my phone, for my official timekeeping device of the day. I looked at said watch around, I’m guessing, 6:45. Thinking it was over an hour later than it was, I got in my car and headed to print my visual rounds. When I got to the print store, the girl behind the counter that always works on Thursdays says to me, “You’re early this week.” I think she realized that I had no clue what she was talking about by the look on my face. I looked at my watch again. 8:53!!  I’m late! How did this happen?!?  Wait, that’s 7:53. How is it still 7:53??  (Checks Phone) 7:13. Shit.

So here I am, strolling into Casey’s a solid hour before I usually do. The GM and our usual waitress look puzzled and both check their watches (which I assume work) and look at me like a crazy person. I sit down, get setup and just wait. Then, the GM says, “Hey, would you mind if we switch over early? Your music always sounds better than ours.” It was going to be a good night.

 

For the first time in weeks, there was no theme amongst our quizzers team names. However, there were some funny ones and as always, some disturbing ones. Due to the age range in the venue at the time, I was not at liberty to address the Cum Guzziling Cock Holsters by their name, instead referring to them only as CGCH. The Buff Beavers were an interesting crew. Obviously not stagnant from the consumption of alcohol, they would repeatedly ask how they did after each round. “You’re doing great. Keep it up.” Of course I was referring to the entertainment they were providing, not their score. ;-)  The Bitch Hunters should have turned around. Although if they did, that 3rd place finish my have been lower. Congrats to Das Wunderteam, this week’s winners. The combo of two of our regular teams, combined into one, since they were both missing members. It’s almost cheating.  Not Doug, took second. A feat considering there were only two of them and they were tied going into round 8 with the “Vandertiem.”

 

Another exceptional night. Another quiz behind us. I’ll see you all in June, my birthday month (hint hint, nudge nudge)for more crazy sexiness at Casey’s!
