Alan Riehl (Keeping it Riehl)

It's bragging time!  I have been with GWD since January 12, 2010 at Dublin's Street Pub in Las Cruces, NM.  I have published 4 novels since 2005: Angel Falls, Married Alive, and The Treasure of Akkad.  I wrote two plays:  Angel Falls and Online (which is being produced).  I wrote the screenplay for a 5 minute animated short for Dooglamoo Studios.  I co-wrote a horror screenplay.  I wrote a ahlf hour episode for the horror TV show The Witching Hour entitled Writer's Block which was accepted and is in production.  I have emceed several non-profit events and have creted several events as well.  I am in the process of creting a Writer's Festival and Stephen King wants to be me when he grows up.  (Stephen if you're reading this, you know I love you man!)  I have over 9 years experience in radio and about the same in television.  I like the ladies and I appreciate the bevy of beauties that grace Dublin's week in and week out just to see me.  I also created the GWD Olympics which is now an annual event at Dublin's.

I have now written a screenplay from my produced play: Online; a British Sitcom Pilot; and I am working on my first novel as a Mini-Series!  Writing rocks!

Okay first of all 8 teams!!!!! No seriously, just because the Denver Donkeys got stomped by the New England Panty-waists and the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers beat down the Pillsbury Beagles, doesn't mean you can stay home and watch your foosball (Waterboy reference).  I expect that next Sunday Dublin's will be filled with Geeks!  Oh yeah and btw, this was the first ever Dublin's Street Pub Geeks Who Drink Sunday night!!!!  I thought it went rather well, thanks for asking.

Actually I believe this is the beginning of something huge on Sundays at 6:30pm.  Do you get that?  Do I need to repeat it?  Okay good.  Let's proceed.

I was reading the round 3: Sooner or Later: Around the World in 40 stereotypes, when I read the first two clues for question 4 and almost spit out my retainer!  BALL, MOUNTAIN DOG!  Take out the comma and I'm very nasty.  I thought it was about balling a mountain dog so the first country I thought of was Korea; but I guess they eat them there and not ball them.

'tis was a true Irish night tonight as one of our teams turned Seth McFarlane into Seith McFarley (of the clan McFarley...and yes I know that McFarlane is probably already and Irish name but it ruins the pun!)  And Dublin's very own Daniel (see pic) looked like he had lost his shillelagh (pronounced SHE-LAY-LEE)!

All in all it was a great night with only one person shouting out the answers.  He was punished by going to his next door neighbor and balling their mountain dog...

DON'T FORGET IT'S  SUNDAY AT 6:30pm AND TUESDAY AT 8:00PM at DUBLIN's IN LAS CRUCES NEW MEXICO!!!!

I better see you this Tuesday or.....NO! No more about the dog balling!
