Quiz Schedule
Tues. 8:00 CB & Potts, Broomfield Thurs. 8:00 Moe's BBQ (North), Denver
Logan (Goober)

My name's Logan, I'm a mild-mannered 26 working as a software sales engineer by day and quizzing like a madman by night. I live my life to the soundtrack from Brat Pack movies and training montages. I seem to have an unnatural fear of smurfs.

Last night was an awesome quiz. Then it was ANOTHER awesome quiz. That's right, suckaz. As a special reward to the veteran quizzers of Moe's Original BBQ who braved the cold and the debate hangovers, we doubled down on the awesome last night and did two quizzes BACK TO BACK during normal quiz time.

Some people questioned if it was a good idea. 15 rounds (since I obviously hadn't planned ahead to print out a second R5) in two hours? 8 is hard enough!

Some people questioned if it was possible. Could we finish each quiz in half the time a normal quiz takes? It's not like we usually have time left over at the end.

Some people questioned how the Arizona Cardinals managed to go undefeated that long without an offense, especially given how their defense turned out against the Rams. THE RAMS! Looking at the stat line just leaves me confused as to how anyone put any points on the board, to be honest.

But we did it! BAM! Let's see just what we covered:

  • Dan Quayle was dumb, but at least he wasn't Sarah Palin.
  • Pat Benatar will forever be best known for killing Bill Paxton.
  • Back to the Future vs. Blast From The Past: Which was worth watching? I guess that's too easy.
  • Rodney Dangerfield would be the best QM. I'd play that quiz every week and twice on Fridays.
  • People who name horse colors have way too much time on their hands.
  • Having a beard doesn't mean you're a lumberjack, but it's a good indicator.
  • James Bond themes and no Duran Duran? Shameful.
  • Martin Freeman is a good hobbit. Morgan Freeman is better.
  • Jamie Kennedy just fell off the planet or something. That's a good thing.
  • The combined funk of all iterations of Parliament and Funkadelic could destroy the world if everyone simultaneously got up for the downstroke.
  • Simon Pegg and Martin Freeman would probably work well together. Like at the very end of Shawn of the Dead.
  • CostCo has cheap hot dogs, even if you only want 50!
  • Zombie Spider-man would still probably just complain about how much he misses Uncle Ben's Wild Rice.
  • Don't watch the Omen remake. Go back and watch the original. You'll thank me later.
  • A year ago we were just getting the early details about Skyfall, and now it's almost here! I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!

15 rounds in 2 hours. Hell yeah, you guys. You rocked it. You're the reason I do what I do (drink myself to sleep at night and wake up in the bathtub). Y'all rock. Come back next week for more fun! Same bat-time! Same bat-channel!
