Bio?  I have to write a bio?  Ok, well, umm...I'd prefer to remain in the shadows reading SF or Fantasy; let me have my LOR and/or Harry Potter moments in peace, ok?  Cameras probably steal your soul, but at this point I've parseled it out to so many people that I'm not too worried.  I'm like a corporation that's too big to fail.  Sometimes people hate me because I'm one of those irritating optimists who always has something positive to say about everything and everyone.  Like, if you were arguing over whether the glass was half full or half empty, I'd be saying, "Yea! It's time for another round!".  Oh, and I really like beer.  Not just like, but LIKE.  As in, it's part of my actual job to drink beer.  Seriously.  Really, I have the two best jobs ever: drinking beer and yelling at people for stupid answers.  If you want to know more about me, find me at Quiz and buy me a few drinks; my husband will be the first to tell you I'm a really cheap date who can't be trusted with keeping anything on the DL.  And don't forget...cameras steal your soul.

As I was riding my bike home last night, something hit me.  It’s. Fucking.  October.  NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!   Seriously, the wind last night felt like getting punched in the chest by a frost beast.  Oh, sure, I suppose in reality, he’s quite nice, smokes cigars, and occasionally enjoys a cocktail.  I imagine he’s quite fuzzy, and perhaps plays pinochle or Magic: The Gathering with a group on the weekends.  But on Tuesday nights in October, he likes to crouch behind trees and wait for unsuspecting cyclists to PUNCH IN THE FUCKING LUNGS with his ICY ICY fingers.  Riding a 70 lb cruiser with the wind blasting me head on, I felt somewhat like I had swallowed liquid nitrogen and was shattering from the lungs out.  Because I've done that, and I know what it should feel like?  By the time I got home, I was coughing and longing for another round of honey ginger whiskey.

Thus, I am reminded, we are heading into the dark time of the year.  As such, may I humbly remind you that the approaching season is not all about pumpkin flavored crap and drowning your sorrows in even more whiskey.  HAVE FUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!  This early fall season should include wholesome activities like dressing up in a fuzzy animal costume and kicking through your neighbors’ leaf piles while maniacally proclaiming yourself the Autumn Queen.  And, it is my obligation to remind you: green chile season will not last forever…buy some while the roasters are still out.  Hell, go to Mile Hile Flea Market and buy yourself a cowboy hat.  And, PLAY MORE QUIZ!!

Also, I thought I might have been in a drunken haze, but this happened:

Speaking of QUIZ, we saw a first of firsts at LUSCIOUS.  For the last 2 years and 7 months, LEGION OF DOOM has been quizzing with us.  You’ve loved them and hated them; you’ve laughed with them, boo'd at them, and perhaps shed tears that you lack their cool kid factor and geek street cred.  They’ve even been publicly chastised in the larger GWD community for not going to Geek Bowl.  And last night folks, LEGION OF DOOM got 91 fucking points…NINETY ONE.  That’s a NINE, followed by a ONE.  That’s NINE sets of TEN, plus an odd ball.  That’s INCREDIBLE.  And LEGIT.  HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
