The bio I had before was lame. This bio will also be lame, but less lame. I'm that guy who doesn't know how to pronounce any of the sports names. I'm that guy who giggles at math jokes. I'm that guy who loves board games, intellectual challenges, and gets a hard on for chemistry BUT doesn't know who played in the super bowl...

All that said, this nerd has actually seen more of the world than most people, I've got tons of stories. I usually hang out after quiz and eat dinner/have a beer, feel free to sit down with me and chat about whatever. I love feedback about the quiz, unless it's bad feedback. In which case, fuck off. (jk) (but not really)

So, tonight we had a great turnout. I expect it may have been the rain but who knows. Maybe it's just my magnetic personality. Though judging by my performance last night that clearly can't be it. I was all over the place. Taking a physics and assembly language test then trying to do quiz was just too much for my brain.

13 teams is a new record for me, so thanks everyone for coming out, means a lot to me. This week 3+1=5 took the gold while rivals Brainiac 4 and WE ARE NOT BRAINIAC tied for second. Ironic isn't it? I settled the tie breaker with a few questions off the top of my head, the theme being fantasy literature. The not brainiac's took the win in that tie breaker. I think I'm going to give the prize of best name to Bingo the Wonder Pony though Hill's Cuties is a close second only because they took the time to explain their team name during a scoring break and thoroughly embaress a team member. Going into round 6 Bern Dawgs were in second by only 1 point then decided to leave, bummer dudes. I'm sure the brainiacs and not brainiacs didn't mind.

After one of our bonus questions (what is the square of i) I offered a beer to anyone who could show me a proof of why this is true using formal logic. Trick question as the definition of i is actually a postulate and doesn't have a definitive proof, however we had some other math nerds in the crowd who took a pretty good stab at it so I gave 'em a beer.

That's all from me for this week. Had surgery on my toe this morning so I'm all loopy on painkillers. I thought it might make the blog more interesting but after re-reading it, I just sounds really dull. Turns out this doesn't bother me much either. Time to go kill all the mans in Borderlands 2.
