Blergh. My new baby quiz, my sweet sweet child! How can I leave you for two whole weeks!? It’s almost a betrayal of everyone and everything I’ve worked so hard for. Promise me you’ll stick around, everyone – I will see you soon, and in the meantime your substitute quizmaster will take good care of you or your money back.*

I don’t think I’ll ever read War and Peace. I’ll admit it, because I’m a grown up who knows what he knows – I don’t know anything about War and Peace, other than the common knowledge that it’s just a big ol’ book. Lotsa words. But based on what I’ve learned thanks to tonight’s quiz, I have no interest in ever reading it. I refuse to do further research, but I still can’t tell if it’s fiction or nonfiction. Sounds like it’s based on real-life events of the 19th century in Russia, but is it about fictional characters in the real world?

I LOVE to read, but certain books get digested much easier than others. I’ve started John Cleese’s memoir like three times and can’t make a dent, but I eat Wodehouse for breakfast. Not that nonfiction is impossible, it’s just gotta be a specific genre or two, I guess. But most fiction goes down smooth. I can devour a Dick.

No, wait, I meant a Philip K. Dick book. Not like that. No! Don’t take these words out of context! Please! Damn you!
