Quizzing for the Summer Solstice, a race of 20 teams packed it at Quiz Centraal, now home to 61 teams in a single week. Pretty frightening to imagine that we had twice as many teams here on Wednesday. The mind boggles, the scoring hand cramps, the Quizmaster becomes hoarse calling out the leaderboard. Tonight was not quite as dramatic, but a fine finish [or beginning?] to a new week of possibilities, rife with the desire for quiz.

Things started out harmlessly enough with a little round on Animal Sidekicks, which saw our top-2 teams in a dead heat from the get-go. Round 2 and Tay Zonday tested many, with only 3 teams entering the double-digits here. I'm afraid that not one of the songs played was either called "Leonard Cohen" by Tom Waits, or "Tom Waits" by Leonard Cohen. Quizmaster Eric doesn't like it when you do that.

Round 3 [Wrestling Moves Vs Bedroom Antics] saw our first ace of the evening, courtesy of tonight's winning squad. This can only mean some fabulous guesswork, or some serious process-of-elimination on the part of a hardcore wrestling fan [or porn star]. We're not too accustomed to tornadoes, blizzards or volcanic eruptions here in New Mexico, and the scores reflected as much in Round 4's study upon Natural Disasters. Our visual round saw teams Everything Tastes Better With Election Fraud, The Wrath of Teddy Ruxpin, Help, I Broke My Foreskin, and Team Eric Estrada acing handily, with many more mixing up names and generally bitching about elves.

As we traversed through Authors Who Shouldn't Be, and the horror they have produced, teams All Hail the Wayward Travelers, Miles From Sober, and Poon Peen Incorporated aced in spite of their terrible taste in books. Also, our lots probably needs a few more hits on YouTube for some Literal Video education [in Round 7]. Fair scores towards the top of the spreadsheet, and quickly plummeting towards the bottom.

Random Knowledge finished us off, with only 2 teams crossing over in the double-digits and a general lack of near-Mediterranean insight. Why are there so many jobless in Oregon? Probably because of all the damn hipsters. Additionally, Tang is also something really sweet that you pull down. See you guys next week!

Miles From Sober gained ground in Random Knowledge for 3rd!

Everything Tastes Better With Election Fraud coasts into 2nd.

All Hail the Wayward Travelers, smashing and winning big for 1st!
