Five birthday teams? Seriously? There was cake all over the place last night. For future reference, Quizmaster Sean can totally be bribed with cake.

Man, what didn't we do last night? We quizzed in the rain. We exhausted our entire French vocabulary. And damn, we were super excited about diseases (check out the last picture if you don't believe me). You learned that I can't do a Napoleon Dynamite impression. Or rather, that you don't want me to ever do one again. And I discovered the spinach salad on the summer menu, that was pretty sweet.

There was also a crowd of new faces tonight! Looks like we're going to be packed for the foreseeable future. I'm looking forward to it.

The disease round was a polarizing factor. Half of you hated it, the other half loved it. Curiously, the rounds that provoke those polarizing reactions are usually my favorites. Sadly, I didn't manage to get a shot of The Oily Pelicans, who tied for second place this week, because the crowd was too thick at the bar. But I need to mention: They were the only team with a perfect score on the disease round. I was impressed. Next time, foul fowls!
