So there's some buzz that Raglan is on short time with it's managing company. There's further buzz that the managing company wants to put someone else in Raglan's spot at the Power and Light District. I got this infomation from the local newspaper. Depressing news but news none-the-less. I have a lot of ties to the venue. My wife worked there for almost two years. We had our rehearsal dinner at the venue. I've partied with at least 85% of the staff at one time or another. I've shared marriage secrets with and have hooked (or still am trying to hook) a number of people up at the bar. Needless to say, I will mourn a lost friend, when Raglan's time comes.
Til then I want to establish a, "Save Raglan" party. Next week - Power and Light District. Wednesday night 8 - 10.
I leaned some things this week.
- Swansea is a place that's called Welsh. Is that a province? A state? Republic of?
- My Bologna by Weird Al is cooler than Sharone. By a lot.
- The B52's made more music than just Love Shack. It's true, I heard a clip of another song.
- Captain Beefheart is the coolest name ever for a musical group. So cool in fact, I'm planning a new fantasy football team built around tha name.
- Spam is so awesome a song, it got a musical.
- Few people memorize lists of recent entries to any hall of fame. Coincidentaly, this quiz takes place a mere 30 feet from the enterance to the College Basketball Hall of Fame.
- Gidget stands for, "Girl Midget". It's true. Look it up.
- Stick Figures CAN capture the essence of an iconic tv show.
- Nunsense was and is funny. Cards or Theatre, Nunsense is funny.
- I don't know how Wing got to be famous but her/his singing sucks.
That is all, hope to see you next week.

Geeks must be spreading like wildfire. Another trainee? Another new venue for the Geeks domination? Wow. I'm also honored that Rory Roherton stopped by to check out the venue for some fun, education, drinking and quizzing.
Some notable observations from tonight's event.....
- Walking on Sunshine was used in roung two. How come I thought that song was a Bananarama song? Isn't this the same group that sang Walk Like an Egyptian?
- I like most other people's rendition of Moon River. Streisand, Barry Manilo and KD Lang all have better versions. Is Louie's the first?
- Favorite round in a long time - Hanna Barbara cartoons. For the record, this is the first time I have ever looked up something AHEAD of time to speak intellegently on the topic. Gary Coleman as a do-gooder poltergeist? Sick! I would have watched it as a kid, still would as an adult.
- Globetrotters in Space better than the Muppet Show - Pigs in Space. I loved the Globetrotters when they visited Scooby and the gang. Why wouldn't it work as a space cartoon? It would!
- Knight Rider 1999. That era has come and gone and still no cars that can be a jet and a submarine. Damn!
- Robonic Stooges.
- No idea who Ronnie James Dio is/was.
- No idea who John Bonham is/was.
- Christian Bale looks eerily like Jack Kerouac. Just sayin.
- I was speaking to one of the weekly comers and she was surprised that our sun was categorized as a Yellow Dwarf. Amanda it IS INDEED odd that the Sun is categorized as a Yellow Dwarf.
- Point Break does not get enough credit for being a good movie. Nothing special. Just a good movie.
See you next week.

Last week I used "P's" for my alliterative sentence. This week lent itself to the same letter. The simple fact here is that we have continued using alliterative sentences since the inception of my blog. October 27 was the first night but every blog since then has has an alliterative title. I won't let you faithful readers down.
They say you should learn something new each day. I try to pick up as much useless knowledge as often as possible in my 9 months of QMing. Lessons I learned this evening.
1. Everyone knows "That's a spicy meatball." Even the folks who were too young for the cultural reference still knows the commercial. It's just like the, "Where's the Beef?" lady.
2. LMFAO is a musical group. Their name still makes me want to LMFAO.
3. Birth Control Pills were created before WWII, they were only readily avialable after WWIII. I guess it had something to do with a social change in the doctor's perscription writing habits.
4. FDR was never cured of Polio.
5. Kelly Coffield Park was not as memorable as Jim Carrey. On the reunion special I will look for Kelly's work bio to be real short.
6. Pyroclastic flow sounds so much cooler than Lava.
7. While not a fun walk, The Ho Chi Minh Trail SOUND like a really cool hike.
8. Walker, The Texas Ranger could still kick all of our combined asses. I hear that only the Most Interesting Man in the World can block a Texas Ranger punch.
9. If you are a male actor, your best shot at winning an oscar is by playing a mentally handicapped man. If you are a female actor, your best shot at winning an oscar is by playing a whore.
10. Minstrel Shows are really racist.
Thanks to all those returning drinking teams, see you next week.
