Josh Wittge is an animatronic talking bear which was created by Ken Forsse with later assistance by Larry Larsen and John Davies. Josh Wittge moves his mouth and eyes via a standard cassette tape deck built into his back. Later versions would use a digital cartridge in place of a cassette. At the peak of his popularity, Josh Wittge became the best-selling toy of 1985 and 1986, and the newest version was awarded the 2006 Animated Interactive Plush Toy of the Year by Creative Child Magazine.

Josh enjoys table tennis, lunch and Crimean War renactment. He lives.

Bless Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, and may she be lighting up a dancefloor in the afterlife. In her honor, we had the gayest quiz I've ever hosted outside of actually hosting The Big Gay Quiz. We talked about gay marriage, Donna Summer, slash fiction, and buttplugs. And we had the hottest disco playlist ever. I'm totally adding it to the regular rotation.

Also, the Pablo Jar hit $100 last night! So next week we'll be drawing for the lucky winner. Hot damn!

Honestly, I felt like last night's quiz was the most fun I'd had at quiz in a very long time. You guys were laughing, we were laughing at you guys, it was some sort of odd symbiotic magic. I loved it. And then we went on to play nerdy board games for Blair's birthday until 6am. I shit you not.

So come back next week for the drawing of the Pablo Jar! Check out http://www.facebook.com/GeeksPennField for Facebook bonus questions, the Spotify playlist, and are final list of entries going into the drawing. Y'all have a good week!

I'm just your average board game geek who loves to drink and play pub quizzes.  By day I'm allegedly an educator and by night I'm allegedly a tramp.

'Twas a quite beautiful evening. There was a sweet breeze, the temperature was cool but not too cold. The sweet strains of the idiot shouting, "Homo!" could be heard for blocks in the still almost-summer air.

Clearly, I wasn't Josh tonight. He was on vacation and let me put my big-girl pants on again. I always have a great time subbing for Josh and I also really enjoy covering his quizzes too!

Tonight's Round Three was not my favorite thing ever but it clearly amused the 13-year-old and the, I dunno, 25-year-old? in the back. I'd just like to point out the recent research that suggests that those who are most rabidly homophobic tend to be dealing with internalized hatred.

It's food for thought when you're contemplating stabbing someone in the eye with a fork because they won't stop shouting "Homo!" at a pub quiz when you're just trying to enjoy yourself and hear the questions.

Worry not, fair friends: Josh will be back next week and I will be firmly planted at his side; all will be right with the world again. Until next week, stay drunk, happy and, most of all, safe.

With so much other stuff going on in the city last night - as pointed out by an absurdly direct friend - I am so darned pleased you all decided to spend your Cinco de Derby with me! I get all gushy and dumb about it but it definitely makes me feel like some sort of D level celebrity that anyone would decide to give up there Saturday to come be berated by me. Awesome. Love you bitches.

I also love that every single one of you can identify Miley Cyrus by a few bars, but you're "too cool" to sing along with the rest of the song. You can damn well bet it's going on the Spotify playlist to be heard again in the future. What's the Spotify playlist, you ask? Why it's the open, collaborative playlist I use every Saturday night at quiz. How does one access it? By getting Spotify, then going to this link!

Also, there's the Facebook page. That's where you find the Facebook bonus question, and thus have the chance to get a little extra snockered, on me. Meanwhile, I'm watching Community, and it just makes me want to build a fort out of furniture. Also, don't forget to check out the Mad Men quiz info! Should be fun!
