Some weird, wild stuff tonight! One, what's up with more than half our audience showing up a minute and a half before quiz time?! We should start taking early attendance somehow, and docking points for the less faithful. Just kidding, we'll never do that. More because we can't figure out the logistics than anything else. No matter, YOU WERE THERE! And that's what truly matters, right?!

Round One hurt my brain, Pat Robertson & Robert Pattinson was a bit too much too handle. Thank goodness our bonus wasn't on former Canadian pro wrestler Pat Patterson or The Band member Robbie Robertson or my head might've exploded. Round Two was much easier on the brain cells though, given that each song was made up of maybe 12 melodic notes. I would absolutely play an 8-bit monster truck game themed to Sweet Home Alabama, or a level of Rampage set to Kashmir. Holy shit, someone with hack skills please make this happen. Puff Daddy would be proud!

Whooo boy, clearly some folks had never played a Say When Round before, because shit got stopped waaay too early tonight. Especially when we had doubled up first clues. Minnesota. That's all you need really?!? How about twice? Or Catalog? A few foot in mouth moments, but most teams came out alright at the end of that round, one even with a perfect score! Go figure.

The Unibrow Round trotted out John and my big secret. Yea, we pluck in between the “expressionators” (trademark pending), what of it?! Well, at least I fessed up, JWS got coy. But yes, Bert, The Gallagher Brothers, Anthony Davis, Frida Kahlo, and even the “chicest” woman in Britain, Susan Boyle, got a mention in that round. Now that you see the word chicest before you, how would you pronounce it? Is John in the wrong still? (yes) Is that, possibly, an easy mistake to make? (no)

Bing, Bang, Boom! Round Six was fun, even if our audience explosion imitation was not quite so intimidating. So of course, Biff hates manure and Nic Cage's mullet crashed through the Hard Rock Hotel guitar, but many of you forgot where our beloved Alex Browning from Final Destination 1 was headed, or what the sub-title for Speed 2: Cruise Control was. For shame! These are the films that define 1997-2000. At least in my book.

Y'all should hold us to writing a Meatloaf: Man and Dinner Round! It's too delicious of a thought to not produce. Also, don't forget the ALL MAD MEN quiz is coming up on WED JUNE 6TH, and it's worth CASH MONEY!

Until next time, stay geeky everyone and make sure to eat your meat(loaf), otherwise you can't have any pudding, right?

Not a popular choice though. Poor Ernie Hudson.

Goodness, what a great night! A solid turn out yet again, with some rambunctious players, yet some tender moments. Rambunctious in people yelling for really no damn reason at all (maybe our fault), and tender in Elton John's sensual vocalization of two lions getting it on. A lot nicer than the lion ass laying on everyone's table tonight. Round Five was nasty, amirite?

Our Duh! Round started off pretty easy, but as the use of simple logic started to have to be implemented many of you began to falter. I mean, John and I both were amazed we were making reference to Earthworm Jim (Two nonetheless!), so I kinda kinda forgive y'all for missing “Round Ate/Eight”. Next week though, be prepared for some Toe-Jam and Earl, The Noid, and Ecco the Dolphin questions next week! ...or not.

John and I questioned if some of our Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters Round included some factoids from The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. I'm wondering when Harold Ramis made reference to being a licensed coroner in the movies. Of course, I guess that'd leave a lot of explaining for mom and dad if that was part of the cartoon show. Not the best breakfast cereal conversation. Also, I need to track down the Mythbusters where Adam Savage presents a method for age reversal. WTF.

Ah, Round Four. This one hit a little too close to home for me and JWS, hearing these nicknames nearly every other day from our girlfriends. “If only your baby carrot wang could provide the same Vitamin A as a real carrot...”, “Put that Dick-son Ticonderoga back in your pants, I don't need you “scribbling” on my Victoria's Secret catalog”. Sigh.

BTW, I recommend Googling “Do A Barrel Roll”. For reals, I had no idea that worked! Also, Google “askew”. They're getting goofy over there in Goog-land. Also, Starfox was the SHIT! I mean, I wasn't really that great at it, but man, who doesn't like a toad yelling commands at you?! Also, Pee-Wee Herman is a voice in Nightmare Before Christmas?! I learned so many things tonight!

We did a classic Show and Tell competition tonight, with featured items including a brick, a laminated fortune cookie fortune, a, um, CD-ROM Sword (because of course), a knife sharpener and double-sided knife (yikes!), a ...drawing, an old school lunch box, and refugee papers. Our winner however, was a still working, black and green screened GameBoy complete with Tetris cartridge! From a girl no less! Hooray geek girls! Some contestants were carrying a literal brick, she was carrying the original digital gaming brick! Good on ya (though I bet you could get Tetris from the app store for pretty cheap if you need to save some room in the purse).

Thank you all again for coming out tonight, we had a grand old time with you! Hope to see y'all out on Sunday or next Wednesday, and here's another reminder about our all MAD MEN quiz on JUNE 6TH! $5 buy in, winning teams takes home CASH MONEY! It's gonna be smart, swanky, and sexist! You won't wanna miss it.

It was a family affair at quiz tonight (which didn't really affect our lewdness too much), so it was great to have a bunch of new players with us! John and I found it odd we didn't have an actual Mother's Day Round to offer you tonight, but y'know, Kung Fu knowledge covers the same bases really.

Never have we had a member of the waitstaff spell out an answer before, but it was done in such a funny/sly way that we had no choice but to let it slide. “More WATER sir?” ...this guy. Also, Stephen Chow is a badass, and if you haven't seen Shaolin Soccer you should check it out. Good, silly fun. That guy need to make more movies. Oh, and never forget, Scissor Kicks are for lesbians.

Any Audio Round we can squeeze some Dolly Parton and Weezer into is fine by me. I just wish we could have found the version of Kokomo that had John Stamos sitting in with the Beach Boys. Speaking of classic bands, Round Three's Beatles, Stones, or Both questions brought up that age old debate of who is better. Long ago we had a dance off tie breaker, where our two contestants were wearing a Beatles and Stones shirt respectively. The Stones guy won if I recall, so that pretty well definitively answers that debate.

I never really considered that Tom Waits sounds like Cookie Monster, but yea, sure, I hear it. Now I kinda want Tom Waits to do his songs without connective words and switching any “I” for “me”, y'know Cookie Monster speech. I'll work on my fan letter request, but in the meantime, there is this: http://youtu.be/U5X4N2exOsU

My favorite round of the evening though, had to be the TV show within a TV show. Primarily because we got to listen to the dulcet sounds of Mr. Jon Lovitz's voice. The Critic was such an underrated show! Also great was the Friends Johnny-5 spoof called Mac and Cheese. I wouldn't normally recommend Friends episodes, but you should seek that one out!

We pulled out the good old IMDb game, but this time it was Family Edition, our actor: Tom Hanks (What is Tom Hanks?). Though I think there was a little trickery employed by the winning team, “Has Air Force One been said?”, “No, because that's not a Tom Hanks movie...”, it was still an enjoyable game. Even if teams didn't name the film starring ol' Hanksy that was projected right behind them!

Thanks everyone for the fun evening, we will see you again on Wednesday or next Sunday! Don't forget, too, our all Mad Men quiz is fast approaching on June 6th. Get all gussied up, and be there!
